XerXerz: Bia Nwaa, I knew you would write this. Anyone that knows me will vouch that I'm more of an Anambra person than anything. I grew up in Odoakpu, Onitsha! Behind CKC church and school! You are not an Igboman, if not you would know that if I grew up there I'm a complete umu iyoo! My parents lived in MCC, and still live in Omaba today where they own a house. So you see why i stay more in Onitsha than Asaba? In Ojukwu's voice I'll tell you it's Because I'm involved. Ighotago? My wife is also from Anambra! So Anambra is truly my home and I have every right to defend it and criticize bad governance when I feel so. If Nigeria were a reasonable country, I would be able to claim I'm from Anambra in any document! The way Nigerians claim to be American citizens by being born there or living there for a few years! I said all this to let you know that I have more stake in Anambra's development than faceless people like you that attack anyone pushing for the development of the state. I will not waste my time on your distraction of comparing Asaba and Awka which became state capitals the on same day! You can do that comparison yourself. Na you sabi. My goal is to highlight anything that will bring glory to Anambra and allow it to become what it should be. The roads in the picture were the major main roads in the cities: 1. Club road (Abakaliki street) in Awka 2. Mcc junction near Enugu - Onitsha expressway in Onitsha 3. Nnewi - Oba road (just before Nkwo Triangle) in Nnewi 4. Kpirikpiri road close to Mile 50, in Abakaliki. I could have picked Oguta road or Awka in Onitsha. If I did, you would still complain. If I had posted a picture of the New Centenary city in Abakaliki or its dazzling Mall flyovers you would still complain. Truth be told, you know I'm saying the truth! A real state of emergency on urban roads in all Anambra's cities is urgently required. 13 Likes |

Bia this ediot. You claimed you married, lived in Anambra bla bla bla. When the chips are down, faceless ediots like you would still not be an Anambran. And this won't change the fact that Anambra is the best and most developed state in igboland Your delta state is among the most backward states in Nigeria despite the huge oil revenues but you haven't for once pushed that things be done rightly but you are always camped here pushing for your stupidity. Asaba is more or less a glorified village with the worst roads ever but you are always here trying to deceive yourself that all is well with your state. Delta is among the most indebted states in Nigeria, please can you point to where all the monies entered? Are you not ashamed that Asaba is a village compare to Uyo, but everytime you camp here as a moral standard to tell us what development is about when your useless backward Delta State is in ruins. Highlight kee you there. How many times have you highlighted the so many ills and under development bedeviling your useless delta state. Just few weeks ago, your useless governor took a loan of 100 billion to fund PDP Presidential election, but you are not worried, instead you are always here trying to deceive yourself. Despite the huge oil revenues in delta state, is there anything to be proud of in delta state. None. But you are here trying to preach nonsense. If you want to call out leaders, start with your failed delta state that has been producing incompetent clowns as governors. Of all the posts you have ever made on nairaland, you have never written anything about your backward useless shithole state for once, but you expect us to be deceived by your silly lies. Just last week, I was in Asaba, I kept asking myself if this is a state capital or a village, dilapidated dusty roads and refuse dumpsites everywhere. Where is all the oil monies in delta state? Are we going to talk about Warri or ughelli those ones are practically abandoned with no sign of government presence despite the huge revenues coming from oil sells. Delta state should declare a state of emergency in all the roads in asaba, ughelli, warri, etc. Delta is a true definition of a failed state Cjrane2: 18 Likes |

Cjrane2: You've started again this 2023. Pensioners are not paid in Delta state, how many interior roads are good in asaba? Asaba-warri road is a mess and so on. You grew up and you are no longer here. Allow those present to tackle the issue. Criticize your own state kwanu? Soon you will tell us reasons Atiku/Okowa is better because Okowa is his vice. Take your time. Nuff said. 3 Likes |

Cjrane2: @bolded, in America they have or other civilization they do move house from one location to another. Lift that house to Asaba, so that you will stop being involved and at same time we can have peace. Oginidi? |

This is the condition of Owerri. Have you seen why millions of imo indigenes are living in Anambra cities of Onitsha and Awka, it is because Owerri is a glorified village littered with dilapidated muddy roads and filth everywhere. Okada is now everywhere in Owerri due to dilapidated roads. Awka and Onitsha are like America compare to Owerri. Imo is a failed state Pictures Owerri Grgton: 6 Likes

Cjrane2: Good points! Anambra cities need PLANNING. Imagine if Ngige had not relocated many markets out of Onitsha. Onitsha, Nnewi particularly need to get a handle on trading. Modernize it. Put in parking, signage, conveniences, water, security, power, paving. Trading should not remain a primitive affair. Informal trading has to be restricted severely otherwise half of Nigeria will descend on Anambra state and sell in wheelbarrows, in gutters and on the street floor, in shacks along every single major road as they are doing now and turn the place into a slum. Second is they have to get rid of keke in the three city cores (Awka, Nnewi, Onitsha). Keke are operated by lawless youths and create more problems than they solve with congestion. Cities need to move to 10-20 seater buses for transport within cities not overloaded 3-5 passenger tricycles. Let keke ply smaller towns. Thirdly, they need to look at cities holistically. When you are building roads in a cities what are the key arteries that need to be planned, what are the carrying capacity of roads at peak (how many vehicles can it support), do commercial areas have sufficient access roads, capacity, does residential? The Ministry of Transport, Works, Urban Development and Planning and Utilies should be coordinated by someone with expertise not the kind of people Soludo selected. 70% of Anambrarians live in cities. You need engineering expertise not politicians in ministries. 6 Likes |

While everyone agrees that the entire imo state should be demolished, planned and rebuilt, but the next administration in imo state should first demolish and rebuilt the following eyesore projects in imo state immediately on assumption of office. 1. Imo motorpark airport (imo is yet to have airport, because even motorparks at Upper Iweka looks decent than this) 2. Owerri international conference centre (this substandard Hall should be demolished to pave way for the kind of worldclass ICC) 3. Owerri flyovers are more or less an eyesore and substandard because since it was built, it hasn't been used because of structural issues. 4. Almost all the roads in Owerri are dilapidated and muddy. The next administration in imo state must take a strong decision to demolish this village that's Owerri and rebuilt it with proper flyovers, roads with sidewalks and covered drainage. 5 Likes

Once imo state government demolished all those eyesore, then they should go to Anambra and copy what infrastructures should look like, then come back to implement it. 1. Anambra international airport 2. Awka International convention centre 3. Awka flyover 4. Paved roads with sidewalks and covered drainage 6 Likes
