That's inter state and it's a federal project. The red rail is intra state and solely state project.

Irrespective of political divides,Yorubas believe they are one...No state is inferior to the other...What matters to south west governors has always been the development of the south west..

It doesn't make sense and it's a pure waste of fund. Oyo did not need any intra state rail lines... The Lagos to ibadan is enough to cover transport. Same applies to ogun state! The rail should just end at Agbado and possibly extends to oya and that's all. Better funds should be spent on states roads, trade zones and other relevant infrastructure impacting on citizens live.

No it won't. A FG project yes but using scarce state revenue to construct a non viable and costly railway isn't wise. Funds should be use on better infrastructure

What are you saying oga Joe the federal rail is going to Maiduguri. So the states should not invest in rail transport again. Ibadan - Oyo -Ogbomoso -Saki and all in Oyo state, have any idea how convenient that'd be for the citizens and residents of the state. And train connecting Abeokuta- Ijebu-Sagamu-Owode-Otta in Ogun state will improve life's in that state so dakun carry your wahala go.

You didn't her me sir, I'm not saying a rail wouldn't be a convenience in facts it's a good thing but currently Oyo and ogun state has no funds to carry out on this. Maybe in the distant future, yes but not currently. The rail way you mention would cost anywhere btw 400mn-1bn+ dollars, how much is there annual budget again? Do you know how much it would cost to run a rail system annually? Even their 2 years budget can't fund this comprehensive and they can't afford to borrow for a project like this....


So instead of using scarse resources for this use it on impactful infrastructure and revenue generation programs. Then in the future when you're generating $bn annually you can evaluate this....


I would keep it on saying this, that currently no states need an intracity rail at the expense of enormous debt.
