Depends. Projects can seriously improve people's quality of life. There is a link bridge being built right now. Once that bridge is done it will take me 20 minutes to get to the express from my house. This is normally a journey of at least a hour with morning traffic

I think the point is a call to violence. Everybody knows that the local govt chairmen only get stipends from the gov. If that wasn't the case why do you think the LGA chairman had the gut to ask for that favour. Another angle to it could be that he just wanted to galvanise the people of ward 10 to do more if they want development.
The bottom line is a gov should be a bit civil in his utterances. Wike is too uncut for the office he occupies.

brother all this questions are irrelevant. in any sane civilized country in this world you dont go around threatening other grown men and other politicians. you will get thrown in prison in the uk and the USA for using language like that and you will be relieved from your post. only in zoo republic can you not only threaten another politician but you will have people like lexy2014 supporting such crazy act

Wike simply knows that those local government chairman are very corrupt, they won't use those allocation for their main primary assignment but na for flexing and carrying small girls playing the role of sugar daddy.

Doing projects upon projects doesn't quarantee that the people will queue behind a party. Rather it is about how many lives that have been lifted from poverty to self reliance. Projects alone without attending to the human element of develoment will amount to nought. Meanwhile, Ahoada is a stronghold of the APC. With BIVAS, it won't get any easier for the PDP.


If the election in Rivers state is devoid of monetary inducement, Wike will also get a rude awakening in Rivers state. Under his watch, Rivers indigenes most especially the youths have become despondent. No opportunities. And all avenue that would have created jobs for the youths through the state owned enterprises that was set up by predecessors, have all been shut down.
