Please guys I really need your advice urgently. I want to get a clean car that I can be using for transportation business because the salary is not sustainable anymore so I contact my elder brother and he told me he can get me a Toyota Corolla through his dealer friend with an initial deposit of 2m naira and I will be paying the remaining balance every month because a clean Toyota Corolla is between 3.5 to 4 million naira, so if I pay the initial deposit of 2m naira I will still have to pay like 1.5 to 2 million naira balance. OR Should I go for naija used within the range of 1.8 to 2 million naira because the money I will be using is from a cooperative in my working place and am also a family man, although the money I will be making from the transportation business is between 20k to 30k everyday and I will be hustling with the car for like 10 to 15 days every month because I usually do 1 day in 1 day off at my working place. Please should I go for the direct tokunbo of initial deposit of 2m with the remaining balance of 1.5 to 2 million or I should go for direct naija used between 1.8 to 2 million because this is going to be my first car and I don't have any car experience before. Please note that the cooperative will be deducting almost half of my salary every month for the repayment of the money I collect from them. Please your advice is needed urgently. Please pardon my writing skills am not too good in English. Mods please help me push this to front page; Dominique, Mukina2, Nlfpmod. |

Win111:Is it Uber/Bolt transport business you need the Toyota Corolla for, or a vehicle that you can use to haul more passengers and goods? If the later is the case, then its not a Corolla you need. You need a Sienna or Sharan. 2m can get you a good VW Sharan |

Win111:... Taxi go for naija used. For Uber or bolt go for tokumbo. Find a good mechanic when you want to buy yo inspect it for you. |

Win111 Go for the Tokunbo. Reasons: 1. You are sure of the service history, you can easily do a VIN check to do this. 2. It will retain its resale value, that is you being the first user in Naija, unlike Naija used. 3. Since your brother is involved, I believe if you do well this time, you stand a good chance of future deals from him. 4. No one will run street on you that you need a few things to do to out the car in perfect condition 5. Whatever anyone wants to tell you about Naija used, same cannot be said about direct Tokunbo 6. Anyone who advises you to buy Naija used should stand as surety incase anything goes wrong 7. Make sure your brother gets you one with low mileage Sallam allaikum |

Sirchiboy:OP, don't even listen to this guy .. If your money isn't upto the said 3.5 or 4m, get a Nigerian used car and start fending for the cooperative.... I was confused too when I wanted getting my car... I was told, Toyota is the best so far. I bought Mazda3 and I've been enjoying the car, with good security and sporty... It was a Nigerian used vehicle .. And I've done nothing for the pass few years except changing oils... I bought it from a banker, dude only use the car to work closes at night and will do small Uber at night and the car wasn't really stressed. |

Win111:My two cents, don't trust anyone when it comes to aspects of money. Secondly don't buy a car with your last cash it's very frustrating. U will need to service it and so on.. continue with ur work, when u have more than enough u can buy a car,and u still extra cash in ur account. Peace out |

I don't really know about vehicles but as a prospective business owner, you shouldn't be projecting the amount of profit you make in a business most especially as a start up. The profit in your head right now might not be feasible as you're new to the system and will need some months to understand it. |
