The Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Gregory Obi, is currently leading an online poll running on and published by NigeriansDecide on its website The poll entitled “Who should be the President of Nigeria in 2023?“, has all the eighteen contestants listed while Peter Obi is leading the pack with 135,195 votes. The All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Alhaji Bola Ahmed Tinubu, followed at a distant second with 89,659 votes. The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, is at third position with 74,601 votes. Imumolen Irene Christopher of Accord Party is fourth so far with 2,582 votes, while Senator Musa Mohammed Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) is fifth with 2,463 votes. The poll is still ongoing as at the moment of this report. Am not a politician nor an electorate Peter Obi cannot win this election. The structure doesn't favour him. In 2011 I was an observer in the election, chunk of the votes were from the hinterland where you don't think existed in our map, they only vote by recognizing the party symbol broom and umbrella. If he (Obi) secures five million votes then the future is bright of him. The fight is behind the two the same party PDP and APC. All this online projections are caricature of the reality come February next month. I rest |
