There has never been a time in history where Nigerian filmmaker went to Ghana to learn filmmaking, it never happened.

Nigeria has the earliest cinema in Africa, earlier than even South Africa!!

That version of history where Ghana help Nigeria develop the entertainment industry only exist in the mind of deluded Ghana, stop trying to attach yourselves to every success story, it makes you look bizarre and greedy.

Create and develop your own industry, others people success is not a result of your own hard work.

No Nigerian will claim that the success of the year of return has anything to do with Nigeria, stand on your own two feet, stop attaching yourself to others, and stop listening to all those failed star in your country who thinks Nigeria is responsible for their failure.
PIP: In 1959, the regional government of Western Nigeria established the 1st television station in Nigeria and in Africa. Even though it promoted the station as a means to educate the people about development and the world, it initially served as a means for an opposition leader to address the people of Western Nigeria. The regional governments of Eastern and Northern Nigeria and the federal government in Lagos followed and started their own TV stations in the early 1960s. All 4 of these stations basically existed to serve partisan political objectives for the various governments. Any stations established after these 4 continued this same political and regionalistic heritage.

These are history that predates some of these dense children of the IMF born in witch camps..
How do you teach a people who have been doing original theater production showcasing their culture how to make films for crying loud.
A country that had a terrestrial TV station 6years before you know what TV is..

I don’t subscribe to this thought of downgrading our own homegrown genre and elevating a foreign genre.

Rap is a foreign genre, no matter how talented African Rapper are, they can never surpass the American.
Ur thought tho

they want to desperately rewrite history in such a way that it paint them in a good light.
How do you take a group of conceited mumus that come on radio and TV stations with no brains to create original content and make ridiculous claims like " I INVENTED HIP HOP" and " I TAUGHT MICHEAL JACKSON MOON WALK"..
sometimes you ask yourself if they're normal up there..

This means Ghana had a tv station 10 years plus before Nigeria. Don't let it infringe on your pride, it's just the fact that at the time, to really begin something you had to be in Ghana.

I like how you Nigerians like to claim the successes of others
You've moved from Afrobeat to how Ghana taught you production of movies to now tv ?

I'm sure the first tv station in Africa will probably be in Egypt or somewhere up north.

Now stop misquoting Reg on his hip hop claim and get it in the right context. Everyone knows the Reg started the Hip hop movement in Ghana and Jay z and Beyonce credit him for that.

The Federal Executive Council (FEC) has approved the recommendation for the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited (NNPC LTD.) to invest 1.9 trillion in the reconstruction…

The Federal Executive Council (FEC) has approved the recommendation for the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited (NNPC LTD.) to invest 1.9 trillion in the reconstruction of 44 federal roads under the tax credit policy.

The council gave the approval at its meeting presided over by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on Wednesday at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Osinbajo’s spokesman, Laolu Akande, briefed State House correspondents on behalf of the Minister of Works and Housing.

“The Federal Executive Council approved the recommendation to invest in the reconstruction of selected federal roads under the Federal Government Road Infrastructure Development and Refurbishment Investment Tax Credit Policy phase 2 by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) Limited and its subsidiaries.

“So, the council approved the proposal by the Ministry of Works and Housing for the reconstruction of 44 proposed federal roads with a total length of 4,554 kilometres in the total sum of N1.9 trillion.’’

Akande said the council also approved the concession of nine federal roads.

He said that roads were spread across the country.

“In another memo, the Minister for Works and Housing also got the approval of the council for concessionaires for nine road corridors under the pilot phase of the value-added section of the Highways Development and Management Initiative following the issuance of the requisite full business case compliance certificate by the Infrastructure Concession Regulatory Commission for a period of 25 years for each road corridor as follows.

“The roads that will be under this first phase are the Benin-Asaba corridor, Abuja-Lokoja-Onitsha-Owerri-Aba, Shagamu-Benin, Abuja-Keffi-Akwanga-Makurdi, Kano-Maiduguri, Enugu-Port Harcourt, Lagos-Ota-Abeokuta and Lagos-Badagry-Seme.’’

More so, Akande said that the Minister for Works and Housing got the council’s approval for the augmentation of the contract for the rehabilitation of the Oshogbo-Ilesha road phase 1 in Osun State in the sum of N1.2 billion.

“The approval thereby revises the subsisting contract sum from N3 billion to N4 billion representing an increase of 33 per cent of the original sum,’’ he said. (NAN)

Facts this mumugayrians will never admit
Broadcasting began in Ghana on July 31st, 1935 from a wired relay station opened in Accra. The brain behind the introduction of broadcasting into the country was the then Governor of the Gold Coast,Sir Arnold Hodson, affectionately known as the “Sunshine Governor”.

He was ably assisted by a British radio engineer, Mr. F.A.W. Byron. By 1700GMT on that historic day, gramophone records comprising of martial and light music were relayed and exactly 1745GMT the voice of Sir Arnold Hodson came through to break the tension and the suspense with this explicit message:

The new broadcasting Service was code-named Radio “ZOY”. It was manned by eight technicians and housed in a small Bungalow on 9th Road near the Ridge Police Station in Accra.

Broadcasting first begun in four Ghanaian languages namely Fanti, Twi, Ga, Ewe and later Hausa. Part-time staff were engaged to translate and announce the news in these languages until 1943 when full-time staff were appointed. Between 1946 and 1953, the Organisation was administered by the Public Relation Department, now the Information Services Department.

On the recommendation of a commission set up in 1953, the Gold Coast Broadcasting System (GCBS) was established and from there it became a department in its own right.

On attainment of independence in 1957, the Gold Coast was renamed Ghana and the GCBS became Ghana Broadcasting Service (GBS). The legislation that basically set up GBC as an establishment was National Liberation Council Decree number 226(NLCD226) of 1968.

The world should stop you Ghanaian men from bearing children before you contaminate human race

Continue making a fuul of yourself, the under the tree education you received and why your country has been running to the IMF..

The first black-and-white television was commercially sold in 1936. For twenty years after that point, television broadcasts were only available in monochromatic format. The black-and-white era of television viewing is considered classic programming by many people; a time when shows like I Love Lucy, Leave it to Beaver, and The Honeymooners dominated the airwaves. Average prices for a home television set during this time ranged from $150 to $500
