With Lekki port, and other stuff as well as more efficient ways to remove leakages, it should get to 15 trillion naira easily this year (at over 30 Billion dollars).

I say this because if we look at 2022, various tax incentives were given to the likes of NNPC and Dangote, MTN, Glo to build roads. Those taxes. are not included here I'm sure, so this should have been around 12 trillion (27 Billion dollars) in 2022.

I used to have soft spot for Kenya, until Kenya boys here began to whin their wild mouth, and I gave it back to them. But with this kind of post. Nigeria is wealthier than Ghana.

Kenya is doing better than Nigeria in some of those, some slightly behind.

Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari commissions Lekki Deep Sea Port (The most advanced Sea port in the whole of Africa) . It would derive revenue for the country , decongest Apapa, and create thousands of jobs . The port was largely funded by private players with Lagos State and Fed Govt as stakeholders.

The VAT, CIT, and Port amounts to that. But the Nigerian economy is made up.of small medium enterprises scattered everywhere (several millions) which is 45% of all sme's in Africa. This is where the tax leakages happen and the Government is trying to formalize the economy.

We have close to 100 million working population and only until a few years ago, do we have more than 20 million people paying taxes. The strength of Nigeria is in her population numbers not in the number of taxable giant firm it has unlike South Africa.

Also Nigeria runs a federation, that figure is for the federal government. State and local government are not included
