There are various conditions that entails escrow. If it's an item that's in multiple pieces, an escrow can ensue but a single piece could have someone coming by for it even before it leaves and I'd faced a situation where I sent an item, it got to the end user and he didn't inform me he had received it. If it wasn't for the tracking I did on GIG, what do you think would have happened?

You can't tell people how and how not to run their transaction. If escrow doesn't favor the seller, find a way to come down yourself or tell someone you know at the sellers region to go pick it up for you if you have trust issues. You saying it like if you wanted to get something on Jumia or Konga, you won't pay first and who is receiving the money, the same total stranger you think you can't trust with your money.

No, you're actually being selfish with your thought process. Get into the market and ask various sellers if they would use escrow. You're placing yourself in the position of a buyer and not a seller. Would you trust your item to someone you don't know?

Before Jumia or Konga got universal, there was that single person that decided to trust who started it and began spreading good about them till how they got their popularity. With the way you say things, you don't come off as one that could be trusted, sorry to say.

There's a difference dropping your money with an escrow you know and letting the seller send an item through someone he doesn't know. If the escrow was initiated, a park driver was used to send the item, the park driver gets to the park, drops the item and it got missing or stolen, who bears the blame or gets to find solution towards getting the item because someone like you would push it on the seller, saying item wasn't delivered; meanwhile you chose such option.
