Although some banks will hand over much of the 10% released to them to the corrupt vote-buying elite, to the detriment of the masses. But it won't be enough for mass vote buying.

This 10 days extension is more in line with what Atiku appealed for: a slight extension. Seems like a sound judgement and what a compromise should be like. Not ranting. Even though they are all as bad as each other.

After elections, FG/CBN will eventually allow the public to exchange their old bank notes.

You're totally wrong. I am one of the elites. Its been very difficult getting the new notes even some of my friends in government are having a hard time too getting it

Most Nigerians have no money at home, stop deceiving yourself. Some operate bank account, some have no money to keep. You are talking like 200milluon Nigerians have lots of money in the house, population of Nigerians with money in the house is less than 10%. The rest only have spending change, and save with the banks, it's the criminal politicians, drug dealers and kidnappers that keeps large money in the house.

This was most likely suggested by a foreign government or by an international financial institution.

The argument that the Naira redesign is targeted at the elite who hoard cash, is just a distraction.
