I have an open application for visitor visa to visit my husband since July, I just got admission for May intake. can i apply for study visa while the visitor visa is pending? will it affect my application?

I just saw your comment and went to check applications I submitted on behalf of my aunt and (her son)my cousin, visit visa to come and see myself and my other cousin who is my aunt's son

I submitted Jan 10, my aunt did not need biometrics as she gave them in 2016 and they were still valid
My cousin did his biometrics Jan 16
Today Jan 24, their profiles says: "We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements"!!!
Although it still says "We are processing your background check,..." but fingers crossed

I am super excited because last year, my dad's application from submission to PPR was May 31 to Nov 7th

I did not dream of this speed, except the "We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements" no more indicates what it used to.

My visitor visa was approved and PR on January 11th. I submitted my passport to vfs in Lagos via UPS on January 16th and I haven’t gotten any email update on the transit of my passport. I sent an email to the vfs helpline and I got a response that it has been sent to the embassy and they attached my tracking number. That was on the 23rd. I think I am supposed to be getting routine emails about the progress of my passport in transit but I haven’t gotten an acknowledgment email that my passport was received at VFS until I sent an inquiry email to them. Ever since then, no response.
I have sent other emails and tried calling but yet no response from vfs and I am getting worried at this moment. I included all the documents required including the consent forms and paid for a 2-way courier.

I was wondering if anyone is experiencing something similar?
Please any suggestions of what I can do at this point?

Probably a typo in the email address provided at the point of biometrics. You can track on the VFS site with the tracking no they provided. You can also use the UPS return courier waybill no to track and know estimated date of return to your address( NB You can only do this if the stamped passport has returned to VFS and UP has pick it up)

Good day all, pls I want to ask if kids less than 12yrs are also required to undertake biometrics for their visit/ tourist application to Canada.

You cannot track ,the nimber is just for reference and you should have order CBSA note it same as gcms and it faster ..gsms could take 2 to 4 months or longer now while cbsa take only one month

I applied for visiting visa throw an agent in August 12 -2022...and I did my bio in August 19.... I don't hear any from IRCC ...I rasie a webform on my own with informating d agent more than 5time .....just still processing....the agent now advice we should apply for work ...he applied on my behalf on January and we got medical request January 30 ..
