vankelvin:At least We're better than your certified shithole. As small as Ghana is, Ghana should be competing with European countries because of her gold, cocoa, oll etc. But look at that zoo today. A huge slumpolis Your partner vaxx, said Borno state, which is in northern part of Nigeria is far developed than Kenya. if Borno is more developed than Kenya, what would you say for Ghana ![]() |

ProblemChild1:Don't be stupid , If I mean borno is as developed as Nairobi ,it doesn't mean is as developed as Accra. Ghana is not a barren country , there is Enough food and water supply here . We don't struggle for fuel nor sleep in darkness . The remote part of Ghana enjoys all the necessary basic amenities that will be difficult to access in bornu . |

With the number of community road projects, entertainment centers and many development happening in Kumasi I can safely say the city is bracing up for their new status (an international airport city). There are many projects underway https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wPfvH1JdXOM https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KiUpdcJjbdw |

vankelvin:I will like to have Kumasi maintain her ancient historical status like cairo( egypt)we can always have a new city anywhere at the part of the country . Kumasi should be more embroiled into typical historical city with the very modern artistic decoration in mind . We can always have a city where ancient values ties up with modern design . Even london maintain some 400 years storey building same as many european country . |

vaxx:Kumasi needs these few things and can compete with the best cities in Africa - They need to build more market facilities and move all street sellers off the streets -They need to dualize their roads and cover all drains especially those in the CBD and those along the main streets. -They need an airport city like what we have in Accra -They need a highrise packed enclave for leisure-business et al, 5 star hotels, Huge entertainment centers and street beautification and that will be all The city already have a lot of things going on and these few additions will make it great. |

Luzebox:Both Burkina Faso, Togo, Ivory Coast and Mali all sort Ghana's intervention in their political crisis. Ghana is more influential in Africa than your country... Evidence lies in the voting block of the AU that both countries lead. When I say far and wide, I mean from Asia to the Americas In Africa and into Europe |

Africa's first country to have Elon musk's starlink.😅 But he must still open his battery production facility here if he wants our lithium.😉

| Re: Kenyans Are Far Behind Nigerians In Every Aspect – Fani-Kayode by theenchanter: 10:45am On Jan 31, 2023 |
Just30:It actually depends on who has a better service with regard for cost, of cos. If starlink gives better service, they'll surely get their own fraction of customers. And let's not forget that it'll make other service provider better cos of competition. |
| Re: Kenyans Are Far Behind Nigerians In Every Aspect – Fani-Kayode by Just30: 10:54am On Jan 31, 2023 |
theenchanter:It would not necessarily make other service providers better... Starlink just need to put a few satellites in orbit to be able to cover all of Nigeria meanwhile service providers like glo needs to put in close to 300 cell sites to be able to cover only Lagos and each cell site cost 300,000 to 400,000 dollars ( the cost of a cell site in Ghana) |
| Re: Kenyans Are Far Behind Nigerians In Every Aspect – Fani-Kayode by rvp2018: 11:22am On Jan 31, 2023 |
That is nothing compared to -> Nigerians will pay $600 to acquire the setup hardware and a monthly subscription of $43 which didn't sit well in the sight of many. Glo can invest 300 * 400K to cover 20 million Nigeria. If each one got Starlink - it would be billion of dollars Just30: |

Saddamochieng00:Wow! I hope someone will not get triggered. Kenya is growing at a very fast rate than any sub suharan nation. What gives us an upper hand is Quality recognition in our growth. We embrace quality and that is what balloons our reputation. I've seen several Europeans getting bamboozled by the rate of dev in Nairobi. Mombasa gives a different good vibe and so does the Central & western side. Kenya is on the right track. Nairobi's horizontal infrastructure is getting cleaner & modern every day and that's all we needed to match SAn cities. |

rvp2018:You just bugged in to type nonsense.... Do you even know the conversation we are having ? Take your time to read to understand. If glo had the money to provide the needed cell sites and other ground infrastructure to have quality internet service provision, they would have done it already but they don't because cell sites are very expensive to build. And this hasn't taken into consideration the fibre cuts experienced on the daily basis due to road construction and stuff. Then we come to Starlink, the cost of owning a receiver is very high plus the monthly charges will be far above what Nigerians are used to. This is the discussion we are having .... Seek understanding before posting nonsense |

| Re: Kenyans Are Far Behind Nigerians In Every Aspect – Fani-Kayode by rvp2018: 12:08pm On Jan 31, 2023 |
300 sites times 300k usd is just 90M. That is spare change for Telcom company. They can be able to re-sell internet cheaply for say 30usd per month for just a million subscribers - that is 30M dollars. They will recoup their investment in 3 months. 600USD for Starlink will never scale. Unless crafty Nigerians buy repeaters and re-sell their bandwidth...but 60-100MB speed will degrade quickly. So Starlink like other satellite before remain only practical in remote rural areas. Countries must continue to invest in fiber. Kenya unlike west african zoo already has a million household/homes connected to fiber....and now we are putting 100,00kms of fiber. Telcom companies like Glo should invest in fiber... Poor Ghana has 50,000 fiber connection/fixed broadband. Just30: |

| Re: Kenyans Are Far Behind Nigerians In Every Aspect – Fani-Kayode by Just30: 12:28pm On Jan 31, 2023*. Modified: 11:50pm On Jan 31, 2023 |
rvp2018:90 million is too much money spent to cover on just 20 million people while starlink satellite cost just 250,000 dollars per unit and the only need 2 or 3 of them at any given time to cover all of Nigeria's 250 million people. Starlink in more cost effective to propagate network than say glo, having to put up close to 50 thousand cell sites to be able to cover all of Nigeria at almost double the cost. On the personal level, Starlink portable receiver is going for 600 dollars which is more than 1,200 times more expensive than the normal routers available to all Nigerians there by making it highly unaccessible to the majority of Nigerians who will like to have their quality internet service. Also, starlink monthly data subscription fee is a lot higher than what Nigerians are used to from glo. Further making it unaccessible. Poor Kenya should focus on feeding and providing water to Kenyans than allow them waste their little money on connecting fibre to their houses which they won't use. This was not a comparison between countries... It was a comparison between service providers.. Get your head out of your ass |
