LABOUR PARTY CAMPAIGN IN OPI NSUKKA FLOPS AS TRADITIONAL RULERS SHUN RALLY

The Labour Party campaign in Ibeku Opi, Nsukka local government area has been recorded as a flop according to eye witnesses. The campaign held at the Catholic Church along the express road recorded scanty crowd as the chairs and canopies brought to the venue were never sat on or made use of throughout the duration of the rally.

According to a resident of the area, Mr John Onah who volunteered information to a member of Enugu North Future Leaders Forum, the rally flopped probably as the People's Democratic Party, PDP, coincidentally held their respective rallies at first, Ibeku Opi before proceeding to the Idi Ogbozalla wards on the same day and time with the Labour Party.
The traditional rulers of Ibeku Opi also also shunned the party's rally as they were all visibly present at the venue of the PDP rally.

Cosmas Ugwueze who is the immediate past council Chairman of Nsukka local government told the multitude of crowds which included the visiting Deputy governorship candidate of the party, Barr. Ifeanyi Ossai that Opi town is solely for the PDP as against the rumour being peddled by enemies of Opi land.
