The village hardly have electricity, which is important to me as a Tech person.

I had decided to go solar, and purchased 2 100W solar panels, An 100Ah battery, and some other necessary things that make up a solar system.

Fast forward to almost a year later, my service year is almost complete, and I will be traveling back to my state soon.

I advertised the solar panels on Jiji and Facebook Marketplace, since they're fragile and I don't want to risk traveling with them.

Would you believe all the offers I've gotten so far is 15k for each one? With only a single person increasing his bid to 17.5k after I rejected the 15k offer?

A single panel cost 24k when I got them last year. I checked up the price of a new one on Jiji, and it cost over 30k on average. What this means is that a used panel is being traded at around half the price of a new one.

I have decided to waybill the panels home, if I can't get someone to buy for 20k each.

But I have been wondering, why is the resell value of the panels so low?

A solar panel have an average lifespan of 25 - 30 years. So, why will a Panel I use for less than a year be valued at half the price of a new one?
