A friend told me about an estate where he wants to purchase a plot of land in Abuja.
He asked me to go with him to see the place

Getting there I asked the estate owners what's the land title for the estate and they told me it's AMAC R of O.
I told my friend to abort mission immediately.
I was made to understand that most if not all the estates in Abuja are using Area council Title documents to deceive uninformed members of the public.

By law AMAC or any other Area council in FCT doesn't have the legal power to allocate land.

Section 297 (2) of the 1999 Constitution as amended and Sections 18 & 1 (3) of the FCT Act respectively have absolutely vested the entire land in the Federal Capital Territory to the Federal Government of Nigeria, and is being managed by the FCT Minister.

Any land allocated by the area councils will never be recognised by any court.

Can you show me any C - of - O issued by any of the Area councils in the F.C.T?

Lands by Area council is a scam.
Simple

How do you mean not entirely true?
What does the law say about land in FCT?

How many Area councils are there in FCT?

Do you mean to tell me that none of these are councils have the right to allocate lands within their domains?

Every land in the FCT legally belongs to the federal government of Nigeria.
No Area council can allocate even 1 SQM of land in the FCT,that's what the Constitution says.

I posted the relevant sections in my response on this thread.

I challenge you guys to post any C-of O issued by any Area council in the FCT.

The Area councils know they are allocating lands to uninformed members of the public illigally
that's why they will never issue C-of- O to anyone.

Of course, I am right.
People will cry blood anyday the govt decides to reclaim the lands allocated by Area councils in FCT.
