Hi
Please has anyone recently flown into Canada using United airlines on a visit visa?
Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by Salvationzoe: 2:32pm On Feb 02, 2023
Good day,
Please I want to find out from the house.
I have a 1 year old who is soon to be a Canadian citizen (his father is a citizen and his siblings as well and we have filed for his citizenship certificate already). He has been through a lot of health issues from birth. Now I want to take him to Canada for check up but since I am not s citizen I have to apply for the visa.

Would it still take a long time for my visa to be ready on these grounds, knowing the child in question is soon to have his certificate of citizenship and needs urgent medical attention.
Thank you

Please how can we get back our decision envelopes. I used DHL to submit the passport and now the passport is ready for collection and dhl said no more two way courier service. Is in person allowed for passport collection in Lagos?

I’m sorry just seeing this now.
I paid the transmission fee to their sterling bank account, printed out the receipt, printed out the PPR email, hand filled 2 copies of the consent forms, made a copy of the biometric forms that has a sticker on it and a colored copy of my data page( all 2 copies). Behind the data page of the passport full name, phone No and email and put in a brown envelope. Took to dhl office the only agreed to do a one way courier to Abuja. I paid about 13k from Benin and they got it in 2 days. I got an email acknowledging receipt by vfs and passport was sent to CVAC the next day and another mail with tracking details sent to me. As soon as it was returned I also got an email notifying me in about it. I’ll send to your email too

Same too
DHL only agree to do one way courier to abuja from lagos.
I don't known how to pick it up when it is ready since I'm not in abuja

The child is only a canadian citizen When the cert of citizenship is granted which is not fast sometime after then will the child apply for canadian passport to travel to canada which be be expidite based on health ground but
As the parent of a Canadian citizen, you would need to apply for a visitor visa to bring your 1-year-old to Canada for a check-up. In your application, it's important to highlight the reasons for your travel, including your child's health issues and the need for medical attention in Canada. You may also need to provide proof of your relationship to the child and evidence of financial support during your stay and ur home ties that will show you will return to ur home country after the medical treatment. You can apply for an urgent medical travel visa, you would need to follow the steps for a visitor visa , but you should also indicate the urgency of the situation and provide evidence of the need for immediate medical attention.

Definitely, I know. I just want to confirm those that applied in December 2022 and January 2023 only. I want to know if IRCC have replied them all or some are still waiting for response.

Please which website did you use to order the notes?

the Canadian government website. It has two types of request: Access to Information Act and Privacy Act.
Access to Information Act costs $5CAD; but PRIVACY ACT is FREE. Go through Privacy Act
This is the link to the website:

https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/welcome.do

Choose the Canada border service agency (cbsa) option is faster than gcms .. under privacy act just choose cbsa option and u will get ur note in 3-4weeks

*Please select the Department where you would like to submit an Access to Information or Privacy request.
Select *canada boarder service agency*

Majority of the Universities in Canada offer masters program, it all depends on what you want. The IRCC link below gives you access to all the schools in Canada. You can check schools in the province of your choice within your budget. Check their websites and see what they offer till you are able to find what you are looking for. But make sure you prioritize schools/courses that has PGWP eligibility.

Check their website and just follow the Faculty instructions on how to apply once you find your choice DLI.

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/study-canada/study-permit/prepare/designated-learning-institutions-list.html

It is a lot of effort doing the process yourself end-to-end but worth the effort as you save huge agency cost.

You can ask guys on the Canadian Student visa thread if you need further clarification.

All the best!

Since you most likely will not be allowed to leave Nigeria with a passport that has less than 6 months validity, i advise you to renew your passport.

Note that your visa remains valid until its expiry date. As such, you should travel with both passports before that date.

All the best.

I have tried to the process of renewing my current passport and by the time I get to retrieve it the visa would have expired. Because it takes 4-6 months to get my Nigerian passport ready
