TMTR:
You can't compare tiwa to terms, please quit that disrespect, tems might be doing well outside Africa but you see Africa, tiwa owns that shit, as a show promoter ,tiwa will get more bookings than tems will ever will because she will likely sell more tickets, what about endorsement and sponsorship deals , tiwa is miles ahead,
popularity nko, you yourself know who has more fame. And how long has tems been in the game compared to tiwa huh

Let me even ask you , when last was tems song played in your street but I bet you remembeed the last time you heard tiwa's song
Spot on

Tems now goes naked too
Moreover Tems is more a black American than a Nigerian.
How is Tems more black American than a Nigerian?
Someone who lived almost all her life in Lagos.
Do you even know the girl at all or is it the fact that she is Yoruba that's the Problem for you?
Kai, you people sha!

It's very immature of you to think that way. Since when did releasing sex tapes become a criteria for winning awards? Remove Grammy from the equation, Tiwa Savage is by far their mother in the Nigerian music industry.

Don't shame someone just because they had an unfortunate thing happen to them, you don't know what may befall you (God forbid) tomorrow as well.
Tiwa their mother?

I laugh.

Tems and Ayra might have come in far after Tiwa started, but they are both better than the old mama now

Lol, her records, list of hit songs and account speak for her. No female artiste has lasted as long as Tiwa, except for Yemi Alade. Please stop the hate on the poor woman, she has achieved a lot to be compared to Tems and Ayra!

When it comes to Music, leave it for the Yorubas... There are so good.

Congratulations Tems, though I am a fan of Ayra Star and Teni Makanaki.
So correct.

Seems you don't understand English...
Even from her pattern of singing Americans relate more and vibes more to her song than Nigerians do..
Nigerians generally prefer Ayra Star style of music

Who talking about Yoruba please..
Is Burna boy Yoruba?
He has won the Grammys too

Moreover Tiwa Savage is Yoruba too

Life is funny. This babe is not even all that popular. Grace!
You can say it again.

The other day, WAJE was even asking people to help talk to her for a collaboration.
Some people's 1 year efforts dwarf a decade effort of some others.

But then, greatness comes in different flavours.
Some would sing the best, yet won't earn Grammy.
Some great players too never won world cup. Greatness does not come in form of award alone. It is different forms.

You could have just said Americans relate more to her songs than Nigerians not that she is more American.
There is a difference.

She is not first female Grammy winner, but Helen Folasade Adu. grin grin grin
Don't mind the ignorant local journalists and bloggers.

Helen Folasade Adu CBE (Yoruba: Fọláṣadé Adú [fɔ̄láʃādé ādú]; born 16 January 1959), known professionally as Sade Adu or simply Sade is the first female Nigerian to win the Grammy Award.

In 1986, she became the first Nigerian (African) to win a Grammy Award when she was chosen as Best New Artist. In 2023, Sade was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame

That's not the reason. African Americans especially the women LOVE her songs. Those songs are not popular in Nigeria or Africa but if you go to the US, the love her songs so much. TEMS is more popularly than ANY African artist right now in America.

You are a complete dunce..........when did yorubas start pop music? Name one yoruba pop, funk or disco group of 70s and 80s or even 90s...........you talk as if Sinach with nearly 1billion views of way maker both original and remixes is not igbo......Rema is from Edo ...who says he will not get Grammy in the near future.......I can bet my right hand that love nwatinti from Ckay has more global rep than the niche rap hit Tem was just a featured artist........please hype your ethnic group but in the right context..nobody us a fool!
These your tears is tearing o! Haba?! Stop crying now. Look I am from Niger Delta. Even I will have to give it to Yorubas when it comes to music. It doesn't mean other tribes are not trying. Clean your tears biko.

Sade Adu is not a Nigerian by Passport she is a british

She was not born here , despite she has a nigerian father ...dose thing does not matter
She was born in Ibadan, Nigeria. If you don't have information hesitate before you spew your ignorance on a public forum.

That Means She is Bigger Than That Arrogant Burna Boy
She's bigger than all of them right now. She has found a very loyal base of American listeners who love her music (even though her songs are not popular in Nigeria/Africa). This means that TEMS is gonna win many more grammies and other awards in the future.

You have a point. I was shocked to find out that Bob Marley, Biggie and Tupac never won the grammy. Can you imagine?

Please go back to elementary school if you can't understand simple English..

Is Wait for You, Future ft Drake & Tems
A Nigerian song?
Even her role in that song sounds more American than Nigerian..

So an average American sees her as a Black American she sounds and sings to satisfy their audience..
