Emefiele Has Brought Nothing But Shame To The CBN by 9jatriot(op):
I don't even know where to start from.
He met dollar at around 160 under GEJ, then the thing started rising to around 200 before GEJ left. He allowed the slide to continue but was being monitored and checked by Adeola Adeosun.

I have reasons to suspect that he masterminded her removal.

Under him inflation rate was just going up and up with no end in sight.

Then he had the audacity to go and buy a political party's nomination form. This was the height of it and he ought to have been fired using any applicable law.

Just when we thought we had seen the worse of him, he came up with currency swap that we all thought was a good idea, only for every sensible persons (I say that because some persons in a bid to spite their face were biting their nose) saw the failure early.

He tried to hide it by blaming the banks for poor distribution, but some of the banks, at least Sterling bank stood their ground that they were not to blame for anything.

He has now finally admitted that he does not have enough paper to print the amount of money required for the swap, yet he was blaming every other person but himself.

Because of his incompetence, the CBN was taken to court on a policy issue, the first in history. Even though many argue if it was not an infringement on the independence of the CBN, the fact is that his actions and inactions added to the shame he has brought to a great institution like the CBN

Its not a currency swap but a currency mop u towards rolling his satanic WEF digital eNaira .

Emefile lied about the reasons for his currency swap and he continues to lie.

I did a thread here in October of last year when he announced his plans to change the currency and said then that Emefile won't print enough paper money to meet that in circulation. Even the low quality of the notes attrests to the fact that it is only temporary and the goal is to force every one to adopt his Social credit tied eNaira that was dictated by the Talmudist bastards in the WEF.

Well said bro.

Emefiele sack is the bare minimum that can happen to give Nigerians justice.

Hopium:
There's nothing anyone can tell me; Emefiele is a gooner.

The alleged cabals will dump him.

Buhari will use him as the fall guy to save face.

In fact, Buhari will give the SSS free reign to pursue the guy - anything to make it seems Emefiele misguided him and didn't pursue the the best interest of the country and CBN.

History will remember him as the worst CBN governor.

Emefiele is working for Buhari but they chose to ignore the main Oga so that they will not lose his support for their push and start candidate. Chaiii

When people talk they think the policy is against Tinubu. So you believe that Tinubu can make someone governor but can't make another bank manager that can give him as much currency as he desires?

Why is aboki not protesting in the north, invariably the are the backward tribe that don't do online banking.

I'm Igbo and I support the policy totally.
It will curtail vote boy by politicians who have stashed up half of the money in circulation thereby worsening the bad economic situation of the country. It will also curb terror financing.

The hiccups the policy suffers today is temporary.

I wonder how anyone can see something good in this naira mop up. They are also groaning under the pain. But they prefer to continue in their misery as far as they believe it'll affect Tinubu. It's just a shame that Emefailure allowed himself to be used to torture the people. I'm sure his relatives have enough new notes to spend, but the people are pretending like all is well. At the end of the day, he has no old naira to pump back,no new naira to rollout. Why will a group of people continue to praise something that is affecting their well being simply because their "enemies" are complaining about it? This guy has just opened the door for serious vote buying; only 2,000 will be enough to buy vote because of the scarcity

The joke is on idiots like you who went to Abeokuta to heat up the polity, pretending to care for the masses, but kept quiet for 8yrs when Nigerians were dropping dead from APC misgovernment.

This is the best time for vote buying. It will even save cost of vote buying. With just 2k, polithiefians can buy as many votes as they want.

The terrorists already have the new notes, a video surfaced online some days ago where terrorists were seen displaying bundles of the new naira note to mock the government.

The polithiefians are highly connected, you can't completely block their chances of getting the new note. Tinubu, Atiku, Obi are share holder to many banks.

So this naira redesign is a mess and has further shown that emiefele is a failure.

If Tinubu could make individuals governors he might also have the connects to make individuals bank managers and may also have people at the central bank.

The main problem Buhari had was trusting Emiefele, service chiefs and Malaimi too much, those folks as far I am concerned ruined what would have been a decent outing as a president.

See the latest report on Emiefele again. The man's thiefery knows no bound.
by Tony Akowe, Abuja

The Office of the Accountant General of the Federation (AOGF) has said the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) allegedly misappropriated over N4.4 trillion the interest it charged on the Ways and Means advances it granted to the government.

It said the apex bank treated the Ways and Means advances as if they were a facility from local and foreign lenders and should therefore be asked to refund the over N2.7 trillion to the Federal Government.

The position of the Accountant General is contained in its response to a query from the OAGF on the consolidated financial statement of the Federal Government for the year ended December 31, 2021, submitted to the National Assembly by Auditor General Shaakaar Chira with reference number AuGF/AR.2021/01 and dated July 31, 2024.

The AGF had said in the 2021 audit report that “the Consolidated Revenue Fund (CRF) and four other Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) had overdrawn bank balances amounting to N17.106 trillion without evidence of approval by relevant authorities to support the overdrawn bank accounts”.

Responding to the issue, which formed part of the 50 audit queries, the AGF said: “The CRF negative balance of N17,105,111,709,523.00, as at December 31, 2021, included actual Ways and Means advance of N4.4 trillion taken by government and interest charged on it for the sole use of the CBN as though the Ways and Means was a loan from CBN funds or from any syndicated group of lenders.

“The interest charged on Ways and Means by the CBN was misappropriated by CBN for its sole use, whereas the actual Ways and Means was not a facility from its funds or balance sheet nor was it a syndicated facility from a group of local and foreign lenders. CBN must therefore refund to the Federal Government of Nigeria the interest of N2.73 trillion it cornered for its sole use as of December 31, 2021.”
