Pierocash:How many times have you seen Muslims posting statistics about population of muslims vs christians in the north. It is Christians that always try to claim that they are more than they really are but reality always proves otherwise. |
| Re: Population Statistics Of Christians & Muslims In Northern Nigeria by Pierocash(m): 9:29pm On Feb 10, 2023 |
alfarouq:What is the reality proving otherwise? The only thing is that the Christian community down north are docile ,foolish ,and too dull. No wonder they were conquered by Usman Dan fodio who couldn't penetrate anywhere near the south, him and his foolish jihadists were beaten black and blue in the south ,they ran back to the north with their tails in between their legs. If the northern community in the north decides to wake up like their counter parts in the south, who born you? By then we will know the actual number. How can minority be lording the majority,no be juju be that |

The fact is, It is high time Christians test it's popularity in Nigeria come 2023 The Muslims have over estimated their majority over Christian. The APC Muslim - Muslim ticket is a step taking too far For a fact that Christian lackluster attitude towards politics has given rise to this false narrative of Christian being minority I have stayed in Kaduna, Taraba, Adamawa, Nasarawa and Plateau State. The Stats given by OP did not come as a surprise to me, at all. they might be more... What has happened over time is, Muslim hijacked Political power in most of this state and make the Christian feel like Minority and the Christian have played into this and somehow accepted it. The outcome of 2023 presidential election will come in as a litmus test and a Big shocker to many. |

wonder233:U wan argue A state wey I sabi pass My own state of origin(Osun)? A state where I spent my first 21 years in life. If I say things about myself in kogi state over the years, guys from there will know its me talking. I wanna keep things low. I speak igala more than some true born igalas. Let me tell u, not even an igala man will tell u the true percentage of Christians /Muslims in the state. They are too close to tell. For every Musa Shauibu u see, u also see an Ojima or Okpanachi. The place I stayed is close to Enugu people. Apart from the Igbos, I have never seen another tribe that likes seminary like the igalas. They take pride in having one or two sons become a priest. Chairman, Christians/ Muslims Yapa for kogi. Just like we yorubas, u will also see a family that has people of both faith coexisting without troubles. About the governor stuff, just like in Naija generally, we have more Powerful Muslim politicians than their Christian counterparts. That just the basic truth.. |

So peaceful coexistence of both religions mean by coincidence, only muslims have been ruling the state since 1999? And Christians are only good as deputies? Bro, the governorship position will always reflect the numbers no matter how peaceful both religions coexist. yomi531: |

The worst sect of people are those that keep doing the same negative things all over. Obi pro are dangerously dangerous using religion and tribal lines to widen our crashed lines. Someone sud tell them to be very careful. |

wonder233:Even after all I said, u still dey argue? I told u that for every 5 Zakaris u see, They are another 5 Unekwus, Enebis , Ojochenemis and many more. U just stay God knows where dey argue. E sure me say even Chairman of NPC (Census), can't dispute the fact that it is too close to tell. 50/50 or at most 48 % Christians and 52 for Muslims for the igalas. As for Ebira , thats like 85% Muslims to 15% of Christians. Coming to the west which is Okun(Kabba), its 85% Christians and the rest Muslims and traditionalists. Mind u, the west (Okun)has more population than the Central(Ebira). U just dey argue wetin u no know. There are some local govts in igala side that dont have Muslims sef. Ibaji, Odolu. Those ones dey intermarry the Igbos . There's another town where my bossom friend Comes from Ogugu, those knows no get indigeneous muslims at all. Guy I rest my case. Christians have been docile not just in Kogi or nasarawa but, in the whole country. Na now eyes dey open to politics. Like I said, we have more powerful Muslim politicians in naija than their Christian counterpart. I rest my case. |

Ipob is trying so hard to divide nigerians based on religion. That is not good campaign strategy. All human beings are equal. Religion is largely scam. |

Kog45:Kwara is not Ilorin city ooooo. How is Kogi 50 50 Igala which are 50% of the state are 55% Muslim and 45% Christains Okuns with 30% of the states are 90% Christains and 10% Muslims Ebira with 20% of the states 80% muslims and 20% Christains |
| Re: Population Statistics Of Christians & Muslims In Northern Nigeria by wonder233: 9:55am On Feb 11, 2023 |
Bro nothing like docile, if an ethnic or religious group have a majority, they rule. Its as simple as that. Muslims have been ruling Kogi because overall, they have more population. Its as simple as that. All these complicated analysis aren't needed. Its like Kaduna, muslims rule there cos they have the majority population. yomi531: |

ACCURETE:I know Kogi wella. Its too close to call. Okuns are Predominantly Christians while, Egbiras are Muslims with, a few Christians. Its amongst the Igalas that the major confussion comes in. If u say they are 50/50, u won't be wrong. May be 48/52 Christian/Muslim or the other way round. Coz Igalas are also very liberal like the Yorubas. I am too sure of this. I sabi kogi wellaaaa. Just like the Igbos, Igala Catholics also take pride in having one of their sons become a Priest. Forget the mumu talk of Muslims producing Governors. |

Most Igala Christians do not live in Kogi state. They are often educated. 50% at least of Igala people are Christians but often not political, 45% Muslims and 5% Purely traditional. The Muslim Igala population are not very adherent like their Christian brothers and you will find a sizeable switch between Ifa and Islam. I am Igala so I know. My elder brother who was a Muslim just converted back to Christianity. I have uncles who are both Muslims and Christians, we are very liberal and that is why we want Nigeria to be divided before this extremism gets to our land please and please |

[quote author=sarkinbauchi post=120788388]GENUINE POPULATION STATISTICS OF CHRISTIANS & MUSLIMS IN NORTHERN NIGERIA BY GEO-POLITICAL ZONES 1) NORTH-EAST: Adamawa State: 60% Christians 40% Muslims. If I can't talk of any place I can speak of Nasarawa! The Christian population in Nasarawa is almost 50-50 or Christian is 60 and Muslim 40. For Katsina the indices is wrong. Kwara wrong. Taraba wrong. Niger wrong. Gombe Wrong. Kogi wrong. Bauchi wrong. Zamfara wrong Bro and many other places that the indices are wrong. In research and statics you must be objective and free from vested interest and biases. The figures you gave to Christians in some states are way to much to the roof! |
