A supreme court that turned simple arithmetic on its head in the Uzodinma case is expected to always be a kangaroo court of the highest bidder

Peter Obi won twice at the supreme Court to retain his mandate when the PDP cabals removed his mandate which the masses of Anambra state gave him.

Maybe Peter Obi may win a hattrick.
Yah he will win a hat trick. And that is what we want isnt it?

The Supreme court under Tanko and now Ariwoola, has succeeded in turning the Nigerian Judicial arm of Government to another appendage of the Executive.

Now as ordinary citizens, not only are we faced with the sad reality of a Legislature that is wholely under the grasp of the Executives, we equally have to live with the misery that the courts which should be the last undying hope of every common man for the carriage of justice, have merely become market places where politicians pay heavily to induce lawyers and judges to oppress the common man.

Even if it takes another 50years, Nigeria go free one day!

Kperogi, for me, is the most sensible among these columnists in the country. He is not controlled by tribal sentiments or any of those morally impeding conditions Nigeria has the power of constructing. I agree with him.

Nigerians (Nigerian youths particularly) let's prepare ourselves for the violent free revolution. We are starting from the executive right now. When we are done with the executive (by installing OBi as President) we will now focus on the Judiciary and subsequently on the Legislature (where the 1999 military constitution will be completely scrapped and a Nigerian youth led constitution made.

Enough of this nonsense!! If na juju dey did to the Blackman to always have banana republic country we go destroy the juju .

Inferiority complex.
We usually think they won't take us seriously if we use simple everyday grammar. So we spend hours on the dictionary looking for all the complex words to give our speech or writing more weight. Very unnecessary

"In its embarrassingly rambling, incoherent riot of a press statement attacking me, the Supreme Court didn’t say a word about the judicial merit of its judgement. It only says it’s not “Father Christmas” and that “no one can get what he or she didn’t ask for.”

In other words, the Court is confessing that it doesn’t dispense justice to whoever deserves it; its “justice” is the exclusive preserve of people who “ask for” it, which is obviously code for those who pay for it. That’s straight-up judicial banditry!"

He finished those criminals in these paragraphs. grin

Let's await the response from the Supreme Idiots', sorry, Supreme Court's spokesman grin.

Am really ashamed of our Judiciary right now. 'Justice should not only be done but must be seen to have been done". The judgements coming from the Supreme court these days seems to go for the highest bidder and most connected.

Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe called attention to the legal and moral burden of overlooking the merit of cases before the Supreme Court on the basis of “mere technicality.”

“In the 2018 case of Akeredolu vs Abraham, the Supreme Court said, ‘technicality in the administration of justice shuts out justice.’…It is therefore better to have a case heard and determined on its merit than to leave the court with the shield of victory obtained on mere technicality,” Abaribe said.
Above is the best thing I've ever heard from a high ranking Nigerian!!

Our justice system should look into African culture and render justice in accordance with African values. Throw away technicality! We learned the technical nonsense from the West. Technicality shouldn't be used to subvert justice, otherwise the supreme court of Nigeria has become a purveyor of injustice in the name of justice.

Indeed, as Kperogi said, we're most likely going to have a supreme court president soon.

So, in your mind, a Supreme court justice that awarded victory to a politician who didn't partake in his party's election is showing a sense of patriotismhuh

It's amazing how you guys reason from your spinal cords instead of your brains, and see things with your occiputs rather than your eyes because of tribalism.

Tufiakwa!

They got away with the infamous Uzodinma judgement that has thrown once peaceful Imo state into unending political turmoil, now they think they can tell Nigerians to go hell and give judgement to the highest bidder.

CJN AriwoOle will leave disgraced. That's assured.

The statement "the court is not a father christmas" simply means that partiws must be specific in stating what relief they seek from the court, and where they fail to do so, are not to expect fhe court to grant reliefs even if they are due.
