QueenNyakim:don't use "we" for Nigeria cos u aren't Nigerian, u're a Ghanaian, claim Ghanaian with ur full chest. Being called a village has nothing to do with HDI, it's the feel and look in d village that made people call it a village, not HDI. |

Shma2023:We've been posting for the last 7 years now and what everyone here have noticed is that while everyone is posting pictures from every part of their city, Kenyans are only posting a 2km apart area because the rest of the city is not developed and a lot slummy just like kibera and mathare which are the face of Nairobi. Nairobi is the slum Capital of Africa because 60% of Nairobi population live in the slum and that is quite a huge number to have which is incomparable to any city on the African continent. Nairobi is a slum... Let's not argue it, the world bank and IMF have all said the same thing and so has the UN. Ghana is everything your country wants to be ... A safe, secure, prosperous, developed and civilized country. Accra has more internationally recognize grade A building than your Nairobi so shhh it and don't limit development to office buildings. Mombasa is just a glorified shithole not fit to even compare to anywhere in Ghana |

Shma2023:And your counter will dispute basic fact ? 😳😳 It is Kenyan nature to counter basic fact known to all even from reputable sources but your argument won't change those facts. That's why this page is still going on. That sounds stupid and you guys will always have stupid argument |

Shma2023:a brt is a system, not just a bus....with that logic all buses are brt buses Also you are going out of your way to qoute me in a discussion you weren't part of.... If anything that proves you are insecure about not having a brt system ![]() |

Just30:Correction: Only 34K kilometers of roads in Libya are paved. Libya has a total of 84k km of the total road network. SA has 158,124km of the paved road; with a whopping 750k km total road network. This means, in general, Libya will certainly not match SA in 5 decades or so to come. But per capita, libya might have an upper hand. Per capita is entirely a different conversation. Urbanization in terms of modern development; not tattarmadelion ancient buildings. Development per head is entirely a different thing: and that brings us to HDI. |

Shma2023:Do the maths... Even at 34,000km to 6.7 million people they still have more access to it than SA with 60 million people to 158,000km. Do you get it now? Your view of modern development, urbanization and etc is just a rant. They are pretty modern and been so for centuries. |

Just30:Again, per head is entirely a different conversation. Do you suffer from unfathomable disorders or do you just have glaucoma? I said yes, per head, Libya is ahead. That's entirely a different conversation that would certainly drive us to HDI. |

Shma2023:it's like your brain is void of common comprehension skills. Development is measured per access and quality and that is why China is still considered a developing country despite the fact that it is pretty developed than most places in the US, Scandinavian and western European countries. And this has nothing to do with HDI ... You mentioned roads and that's what we've tackled |

vankelvin:🤣😂🤣 Imagine comparing Greater Accra that has less than half a million slum dwellers out of 5.7 million to a shithole where 60% of it 10 million people live in degrading slums. And this place is supposed to represent Kenya 23% urban area 😂🤣 That's the insanity of Kenyan argument... That country is worse than a zoo |

Just30:Development is relative. Development ≠ infrastructure. Infrastructure is a facet in development. Development is a multifaceted term. Infrastructure being the bone of contention, I expect you to challenge me on the following: Transport systems Communication networks Sewage Water and school systems Buildings and offices Etcetera. Playing antics with me needs high-voltage cerebral capacity. If you think you can shift goalposts unnoticed; then the joke will be on you. Thus say, the infrastructure index is based on size and extent of its development. Some sources are based on the supply of infrastructure within a country, others on the quality of service, and others on efficiency and utilization. Then there are some which combine both. To some extent, I will agree with you - but that is Human satisfaction // more or less human development as opposed to infrastructure we're contesting on. Now help me understand how Libya and Seychelles are infrastructurally superior to SA when on average, SA has more advanced infrastructure than both - certainly a light year ahead. You can't convince anyone. But if that's your logic "it doesn't matter the quality of infrastructure _ As long as majority are in access to it," then it's Ok for you— Backward mentality if you ask me. Now that you've brought per capita: Do you think Kenya is doing better than your 30 million weeny country? Some parts in Kenya can't be developed owing to it's adverse climate change, insecurities and whatnot. So people would rather prefer to stay at temporary homes - dragging our HDI and per capita development. Ghana is 100% ok. Close to Zero insecurities, no adverse climate change, and whatnot; yet we're just a hope, skip, and a jump away. Don't you think that is so terrible for you? AIDI base their findings on three aspects: Transport composite index: Kenya is ahead of Ghana Electricity composite index: Ghana was several steps ahead of Kenya. ICT : Kenya was several steps ahead of Ghana. Water supply and sanitation: I saw Ghana took this. Overall; Electricity and WSS dragged us behind. Nigeria is way below because of her huge population. If we go by Quantity, then Nigeria will be somewhere in to 10. |

vankelvin:11 and you're already chest beating? Ghana has 23! Those slums makes less than 20% of Nairobi metropolitan region, FYI. There are 675 slums in Delhi, meaning, we're way fine Accra has a whopping 23 slums - That is twice kenya's - despite its infinitesimalness. The joke on you ![]() |

Just30:Hobbit, reduce hobitopism and man up! You're beginning to act like a ret@rd with tapering brain cells. Don't be a spaced-out version of vertically challenged neanderthals - respect yourself. Nairobi is 4.9M populated, and 10 Million out of it live in slums? What kind of foolishness is this? You high on anaconda soup or something? Or you've just activated sh1tmentality cc of your bum-head interlinkment? |

Just30:I am secretly watching how you're fumbling trying to edit this nonsense! Do you really know the meaning of "relative "? Development is relative because it makes varied references and means different thing to different people and in varied situations. |
| Re: Kenyans Are Far Behind Nigerians In Every Aspect – Fani-Kayode by Just30: 7:05pm On Feb 12, 2023 |
Shma2023:I'm more interested in what you thought relative meant to which you thought development was relative. You're either develop or you're not in the broad aspect that development covers ... No matter what limited view you consider in your sand size brain as develop. People used to think Russia was less developed than western Europe and the US itself but what this war has shown is that Russia is equally developed to them or much more developed than most of them. And that notion has quickly died from their lips because they realize it was born out of their own laziness. This doesn't mean that development meant something different to the Russians or western Europe and the US |

Just30:Homo hobbitus is taking notes. Your cerebral capacity should play gimmicks with dwarfs, not intellectual tall and masculine dudes like us. When and How did Nairobi city development vs Accra city development progressed to a larger metro area? Or you ran short of ideas? |

Shma2023:Is it that you failed to read or you were just born on your head so your capacity is hindered by your disability? Are you ashamed of the rest of Nairobi or you're just concerned that it makes your issue bigger than when you reduce it to just the city? Choose your own poison neanderthal.. |

Just30:It's how you picked tiny substrata of everything to make a topic out of it! you need to intellectualize relative def before contemplating on how it could possibly apply to development. Development makes varied references and means different things to different people and in varied situations. Development is a very broad and comprehensive concept. Do You know you can develop a bad feeling, appetite, or character? I don't want to spoon-feed you. Just grab your phone dictionary and check the meaning of development. Again, development is a multifaceted term. When referring to Russia and development, you need to be specific: economic development, spiritual, infrastructure, or what! Don't display some malnourished cognitive disorders. |
