https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hCzKlU-z8W8 Modified: According to orisa37, Russia and China just discovered Africa. Abi? After all these years, why is it now that they chose to colonize Africa? Did they suddenly discover hidden magical powers? We're yet to be emancipated from the Western colonizers/Neocolonialsts. Nigeria is only independent (in theory). What have your (orisa's) masters done for you? Critical thinking might be a luxury that you're not able to afford. You've chosen your own path and other Africans have chosen a different route. Progressive Africans are fostering mutually beneficial relationships based on the principles of equality and respect with countries that serves thier national interest better than your masters. hayzed19: Adjovi: Adjovi:

Africa doesn't want to be independent. Either western nations or Asian nations are still subjecting her to Morden day slavery. And her people are celebrating. Similar to APC's auchins enslaved by a known druglord.

First off, Nigeria is not UNITED as the case may be. Take a look at the tribalistic squirmishes going on every day on this forum. We've NEVER had it this bad. Certainly the divide and conquer stuff still works. As majority of NIGERIANS are willing to jeopardize their future of a piece of bread if (my own) is involved. It was a deliberate BRAINWASHING.. Secondly, the western hegemony will not ALLOW that. To be Frank with you, if you had a neighbour who inherited a lot of wealth from his diseased parents but is also a dummy, loves to get drunk and gives away large sums of money in that drunken state, would you support him going for mental rehab or would you counsel him to be prudent with spending or try to be accountable and serious with himself? No you wouldn't because that would jeopardize your "benefits" from him. AFRICA is a very rich and wealthy continent. We have it all from crude to diamonds and gold. DR CONGO is arguably the richest continent on earth in terms of sheer amounts of natural resources but they are also one of the poorest in terms of economy. They are the ones with the actual gold reserves but are maligned because of "the nations at the top". You remember what happened to Qaddaffi, the past president of Libya when he wanted to bring a policy of trading in gold, which was available in Africa? They framed him up and exterminated him. His proposal would weaken and render the dollar useless. With him, was gone all the plans of a pan African development. Corebelieversfo:Yeah keep blaming the West while millions of Nigerians are trying to vote an old, sickly, presumably notorious thief/drug dealer into power for various reasons ranging from tribalism to greed. The West has never been our problem. We are. When we are ready, nothing can stop our progress. Take a cue from countries which did it. |

Ibrahimcoomasie:It's so unfortunate. U.S. approves $1 billion arms sale to Nigeria According to a statement Thursday by the U.S. Defense Security Cooperation Agency, the equipments are to cost Nigeria about $997 million. ByNasir Ayitogo April 14, 2022 The U.S. government has announced that it has approved the sale of attack aircraft and other equipments to Nigeria. The aircraft are expected to to be used against terrorists and other gunmen operating in the West African country. According to a statement Thursday by the U.S. Defense Security Cooperation Agency, the equipments are to cost Nigeria about $997 million. The acquisition of the aircraft and other equipments comes less than a year after the U.S. government supplied the country with 12 units of super tucano aircrafts paid for by Nigeria. https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/523965-just-in-u-s-approves-1-billion-arms-sale-to-nigeria.html?tztc=1 |

Once again, let me reiterate the fact that Nigeria is only independent in theory. This statement from pansophist supports the facts. Yes there's tribalism in Nigeria...but who forcefully amalgamated the North and the South? For what reason? Who drew our borders? From the extensive research I've done on the amalgamation on North and Southern Nigerian, I found that the interests of the various tribes in this colony had not been taken into consideration, rather, it was the clandestine interest of the colonialists that took primacy. The amalgamation of Northern and Southern Nigeria is rooted in the practice of divide and conquer. It was a ploy to take advantage of the various differences between the several ethnic groups that make up Nigeria and exploit them. It was to make sure that we were never united and by extension- weakened to put up any resistance. It was meant to distract us and divert attention away from the atrocities of the colonizers. Beyond tribalism, there are other problems facing developing countries. There's the issue of economic disparity engineered and orchestrated by the minority hegemons in order to keep the majority in modern day slavery. pansophist: Napata77: ParasiteWest: AnyanwuSilas:It has been established and it's a fact that the West had engaged in pre colonial, colonial and post colonial exploitation of African resources. The US/West exploits the world through various clandestine activities but most especially it's currency. The economic disparity between the collective west and developing countries can be considered an exploitation or rebranded slavery. The legal minimum wage for jobs in most western countries is the equivalent of $10/hr. For illustration, A factory worker in the US/west earns $15/hr, 8 hours per day in a 5 day work week = about $500 weekly. In 2 weeks time, this factory worker would be able to save about $1000 for a tech product (let's say an iPhone).... I know this worker will have other needs but this is just for illustration. Meanwhile, a factory worker in Nigeria working 8 hours a day..maybe 10K a day ..in a 5 day work week would earn like 50K naira weekly...in 2 weeks, that's 100K naira (less than $250 as of today). Both had the same labour input but the Nigerian was exploited by the hegemon. The West influenced the politics of Africa. Most African countries are still under defacto colonialism. The Western interference in our domestic politics allows them install puppets('African leaders') who in turn give the colonizers a free hand to loot our resources. We can take advantage of the rivalry between the West and East and use it to our own benefit. |

Africa Can Never Be Independent Continent, Why Is It Appear In Such A Way? It Is The Fault Of African Leaders Who Are Not Even Showing Effort Of Being Abdicated From Emezzling African Funds And Resources. The Worst Part Is, Thousand Of Africans Are Still Dancing Arround Without Knowing The Real Root Of Their Suffering. Some Are Having The Sense Of Blaming The West, But Does It Mean The West Know The Main Root That Keep On Down Grading Africa From Being Developped? No, Africa Is A Continent With Many Resources, With Many Individual Who Are Not Even Ready To Manage The Resources With Ideological Sense. And These People That Could Rearrange Africa To Perfection Are Dancing To The Tone Of Foreign Supremacy Because They Are Not Purely Independent. When I Keep On Visualizing The Year Nigerians Were Confusing The World That They Are Free From The Bondage Of White Supremacy I Always Smile. But Who Told Them That They Are Independent? That Question Is Underred Preservation For Nigerians To Answer. |

Whether you support corrupt and failed politicians like John Tory or crackheads/pedophiles like the Ford brothers and Justin Trudeau. "It's noteworthy that unlike his predecessor (Rob Ford) and the current premier of Ontario (Doug Ford), Mayor John Tory hasn't been caught using cocaine." Do not let any ignorant fool deceive you that these problems are only peculiar to Africa. In addition, do not forget that we're independent in theory. Napata77: ParasiteWest: |

ChineseBalloon:The West influences, instigates and sponsors terrorism in developing countries. This has a negative effect on the economy of those countries Then the West turns around and collects money (milking the already impoverished country) to sell weapons to those same countries. (They break your legs then give you clutches and say they're helping you) When you become aware of the past and present disguises of these uncultured crude barbarians, the struggle for genuine emancipation will be revitalized. |
