Oga, close your dirty mouth. What do you know? Rubbish ! All politicians are the same, they do not care about you.

Godwin4444:
Is it not madness to see a knowledgeable man like this n go for a trader who supported economic sabotage like pandora

How is peter obi different from emefiele?

They both hoarded money n allowed the masses to suffer, obi did same in anambra by stashing people money in banks to yield interest for him n also saving peoples money n let them suffer

Imagine obi supporting this madness, n it’s super annoying that the same people who are supporting obi n emefiele are also queuing in banks for hours to get their money

They said it’s cool to suffer once it will make Tinubu suffer, same mindset of let’s allow unknown gunmen kill us so buhari can suffer

At d end of d day, did Tinubu suffer?
At d end of d day, did buhari suffer?

I urge Nigerians not to vote for people who believe when they stab themselves their neighbors will n affected

Vote a man who understands d economy n has a clear cut pattern on how to make things work out n not an Igbo hype whom they themselves cursed him when he was governing them

Imagine when u mistakenly vote obi n he wants to punish an opponent he knows wants to go n withdraw in bank, the senseless peter obi can urge all banks not to open cos of one man not minding millions of people that will suffer

At least no one will collect the old notes and they can't withdraw the amount needed for nationwide vote buying.

It is also easier to reject low amount than when there bring out their old naira stash.
I am sure they all have new notes. It’s only the masses suffering. Bank managers take these funds to their house.

They can't have to the amount needed. These people budget millions per polling unit.

May this man never come near the presidency with his zero knowledge of the business world.

If you do zero transaction cost , how would the payment platform make money .

He has just killed the whole essence of new currency with his limited views , once kidnappers know of this , they will bounce back
Read without bias and hatred. He was saying for temporary period, cbn should bear the cost of cashless transactions just for this hard period to ease out. Read and comprehend.

What Tinubu suggested will kill the online payment platforms and send thousands of entrepreneurs back to the labour market and kill the startups thriving in Nigeria
If we are to go by what you're saying, why OPAY never foldup?

And their is no crime in CBN subsidising the startups that depends on money on online transfer till this mess we are in is solve

Sensible ! Rather than inflicting untold hardship on innocent populace all in the name of targeting one candidate. Our capacity for cashless transaction processing is currently grossly inadequate. See big banks that have been struggling with brain drain now get overwhelmed by a surge in mobile app transactions due to sudden cash shortages. But again some people will rather cut their nose to spite their faces simply because they hate one candidate. Sad.

No I see you don’t have sense their are many ways they make their money their will be a diplomatic agreement with cbn to cushion the effects

What will make the current chaos be over are the following
CBN must allow the old and new notes to operate together till it is ready to provide more new notes
CBN must print new notes. Impossible for now. NSPMC must be allowed to play a part in this exercise. Why waste the meagre forex and export jobs to other nations
CBN must stop banks from charging on intra-banks transfers while moderating inter-bank transfers
CBN must ensure adequate supply of cash that POS operators become useless so they can reduce their uncontrolled fees
CBN must implement the N100,000 weekly withdrawal limit it agreed towards the end of 2022.

hope u know sme are packing up already n cash influence businesses are now closing up cos they can’t get cash

Many people are already losing jobs n many companies are experiencing low sales which translates to d fact they might have to law off workers when they can’t cope

How do u expect a country reliant solely on cash to adjust within just 100 days when a large chunk of the people hardly do transfer

People will start losing jobs n they will start taking to crime then u will understand better

Emefiele told u they don’t have enough paper n they don’t want people to spend old notes which means confusion on their part

Ask yourself why they have never made any official statement to d meeting they held yesterday
For the first time in history, i couldn't meet up my sales target this week bcuz of this purely implemented policy, now am losing money , very sad ! A sane mind and upright thinking man like me doesn't believe cbn is doing me any favor but suffering. I wonder why many of us are suffering and still smiling and failing to accept the truth about this poorly implemented policy. Only a fool will be thinking that there will b no vote, but we should do ourselves good by rejecting the vote buying. Cbn gov is a fool spending that big amount of money on naira colouring and thinking that would stop vote buying.

This man should just die once and for all abeg. The only reason he wants the old naira to coexist with the new notes is just because he knows without vote buying his going to loose this election big time.

Shame on you and your household. If u support this wicked government na Ogun go kill una too

We should destroy the economy because of kidnappers! Kettykin you are better than this.

If you don't know, the economy has been badly hit, many have made serious losses because of the implementation of this policy. Stakeholders were not widely consulted. The CBN even laughably admitted they were inadequately prepared for (and didn't foresee) the challenges we
are facing now. It took the Council of State to knock some sense into the sloppy-thinking CBN Governor.

I still don't understand why the whole country should burn because of kidnappers and a single politician. Are there not alternative ways to deal with this issue except subjecting the whole nation into a mindless ordeal.

Playing Machiavellian politics with people's lives and livelihoods (after failing woefully to protect us from marauding herdsmen, bandits and kidnappers) is not my idea of great statesmanship. The idea behind the policy wasn't bad; but the policy execution was, needless to say, satanic!

I'm afraid Tinubu's suggestions (to get us out of this mess) are on point.

The main idea of the naira redesign and the sudden deadline was to curb vote buying. So common sense should tell us that Tinubu and Attiku would support any policy that will promote the influx of cash so they can do their thing. While Obi will be hopeful that physical cash be limited so that the poor masses' choice will not be deceived. Everyone has a game plan here, but Buhari and the CBN governor are the referees

wow, so charges on transactions is the only way they make money.
Interesting!
Opay charges for transfers o (agent accounts). They do not have much expenditures like conventional banks, hence less financial burden is on them. My suggestion is to reduce some transaction charges, then remove some completely. The banks are charging too much and its scaring people to go cashless. Imagine being charged for receiving money.

This is what is called good governance....not showing six pack and making noise everywhere. Not shouting Nigeria is a failed state or Nigeria is a zoo.

This is why I keep saying to you if you want good governance vote Tinubu vote APC

If you want everything to be sold to the highest bidder vote Atiku

If you want excuses and complaints vote Obi

If you want real change in the system vote Sowore and the other credible candidates
