Player B played 4 matches and scored hat trick in one match, double in the other but blanked in the remaining matches, how many percent scoring record does he have? 50% ... so does it mean player A is better?

The mere fact that Jorginho played more minutes than Kante showed he contributed more throughout the campaign, at least from the defensive angle. If there is a carrier here, it's Jorginho.

There are a million clubs in this world and slow and weak DM are bounced out of their position in every club, you only have an anomaly sample of one or two weak DM whose teams were so good, their lack of defensive ability did not matter

You can only harp back to the Xavi and Messi carryalong years from a decade ago and a "regista" DM who had to bus park and rely on penalty saving goalkeeper instead of winning it in true regista fashion

Anybody with sense knows that despite the Rodri hype, he is a downgrade on Fernandinho, and Rodri is only weak in stopping counterattacks (unlike Joggingho who is weak in counterattacks, keeping the ball under pressure, and aerial duels), yet that is enough to show the difference between him and Fernandinho

Before Rodri, Fernandinho had marshalled Man City to 100 and 99 points back to back. Immediately Fernandinho was replaced, Man City dropped to 81 points, 86 points and 93 points even with Walker being held back to cover counterattacks that Fernandinho used to cover

italy too has quality CM with strength around him; verratti, barella and locatelli. Like i said before, jorginho actually achieved in Chelsea too but personally i don't like his type of CDM, mostly in epl. With physical weakness if he had quality offensive play i won't budge, it means he can be used as CM but his progressive play is average, most times, there is no attacking threat in his passes, just side and back passes.
