ProblemChild1:hope your bank are willing to collect your old notes. Ghana should be your least concern now. Nigeria has a bumber of problem. Ghana In debt now is better than Nigeria with credit . You will soon invite a recession soon just because you print a new note |

vaxx:But We're still using our old naira notes na. Ghana is a IMF colony. That's why I'm bothered 😂😂😂 don't just worry about Nigeria, Nigeria will be perfectly fine after the election ![]() |

ProblemChild1:Nigerians and Nigeria are not fine before the election . So what make you think the reversed will be the case after election. From a credible independent source , some of your banks and filling stations are rejecting the old notes making the country boiling unnecessary. This isn't just wickedeness in a country where nothing works even electricity is a gold to you guys . It is also an invited madness . |

theenchanter:Are banks rejecting the old notes or not? If they are, then how are Nigerians supposed to exchange their old notes for new ones because banks are the medium we usually use for this process and under normal circumstances, it is supposed to be smooth.? |

| Re: Kenyans Are Far Behind Nigerians In Every Aspect – Fani-Kayode by vaxx: 10:26am On Feb 14, 2023 |
Just30:from a reliable source, some banks are rejecting it . And even some filling station . Some of them are aware but prefer the lies. If you want to know yourself , call anybody in Nigeria closed to you for the information. In the informal sector, the old notes are gradually being rejected. Don't believe me , call someone you know in Nigeria for authentic information. |

vaxx:You are funny 😄. The Naira note scarcity would ease out. All it takes is for the Government to tweak the policy a little to protect the vulnerable or by printing more new notes. This would not lead to a recession, the Nigerian people would adjust and come out again with other means to survive. Naira redesign policy as a form of control, border control for economic/security purposes, and the likes are what I call Buharism 101. He did all these unconventional stuff as well in 1984 😄. I wonder why people are surprised. |

POKUASI2:I just posted the article and you're still asking for evidence? Such stupidity 😂🤣😂 I boarded Aayalolo from the motorway interchange to Tetteh Quarshie last year. I also boarded same from community 1 to Osu last year. You know their park and terminal and so? Such a wasted sperm..... The company is telling you their routes and you're saying what |

vaxx:There is nothing poor/terrible about implementing a cashlite policy . The naira redesign is not a bad policy, it just wasn't given enough preparation. The CBN should have allowed Enaira and telcos get more rooted in rural areas before implementing the policy. Also a daily withdrawal of 50,000 naira notes would have been okay. Also, left to me I would redesign only 500 and 1000 naira notes leaving the 200 naira available. If they can work around these cracked edges, I don't see how this is poor in economics. It would be poor only if they don't adjust the policy but we all expect them to do so. |
| Re: Kenyans Are Far Behind Nigerians In Every Aspect – Fani-Kayode by Obaaderemi2: 1:14pm On Feb 14, 2023 |
GeneralDae:The introduction of the policy is more political than economical. If not I don't see the reason why the new and old notes could not exist side by side until the cbn finally mop up the old notes from circulation. Many businesses and traders are still not taking transfers and these are sellers of products and services people need, so the burden is on people to go and sleep at the ATMs to get cash. There's this attachment to cash that would take time to eliminate or reduce if you want to avoid the kind of chaos you have concerning cash issues now. It's not as if the authorities don't know this but like I said the move is a calculated political move. The stupid man who calls himself a president has done this before in the 80s. In his mind he thinks he is fighting corruption. Going cashless is not something you rush or force. It's an organic growth thing. People are already going cashless. I stand to be corrected, volume of online transfers in Nigeria is one of the highest in Africa. |
