The worst enemies one can contend with in life, are household enemies. If your brother had the mind to shoot a gun at you, then you better leave that house fast, and go live in a place he doesn't know. Then get a strong lawyer, who will come in and handle the issue of sharing whatever your parents left behind, the sharing should be done in favour of your brother since he's older than you. Some parents are careless and do write a "will".

Fact is that, you don't need an evil brother, cut off totally from him, and pray to ward off any spiritual battle as he may come for you spiritually since he failed to kill you physically.
