Sanwo-Olu: No Need For Violence In Lagos by Lanrelagboi(op): 1:21pm On Feb 17, 2023
The Lagos State Government has noted with deep concern the protests in some parts of the state this morning.
The protesters are said to be angry over the Naira redesign and its consequent scarcity that has caused so much hardship and confusion among our people.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu believes there is no need for violence as the Supreme Court is looking into this controversial matter and will make its position known on February 22.

Lagos State has since joined the legal dispute- all in the interest of our people - in the belief that the highest court in the land has the capacity to adjudicate on the matter.

The fuel situation is easing following some steps taken by the government.

The government praises Lagosians for showing understanding, despite the pains that the Federal Government’s measures have brought. Residents should continue to be law-abiding by shunning any form of incitement by mischief makers.

Mr. Governor is working with his colleagues to ensure that this hardship does not go on.

Violence is counterproductive. Use your PVC as a weapon of violence against APC that has damaged the economy. Vote ObiDatti for a better nation.

This Sanwo Olu has been very careful with his utterances even when campaigning for Tinubu.

Good one he didn't follow El Rufai's path by saying old notes are still legal tender in Lagos and anyone rejecting it will be prosecuted.
Lagosians aint smiling and noone is ready to play ping pong with old naira notes

This protest is politically motivated in line to make the president succumb to their pressure. Mr Buhari is a rtd military and once a soldier is a always a soldier. The Daura man is not shaking. He's playing chess with the political career of some top politicians and he will stop at nothing in order to checkmate them...
Drama everywhere

Washee. The people promoting the violence are calling for calm. The people looking for military generals to plan coup with, are the same people accusing others of meeting with military personnel. The same people praying for interim government to hide their shame, are the same individuals accusing everybody of creating the scenario for an interim government. These people just dey play.

Ok. I don't why we tend to make life difficult in the process of implementing any policy.

Nigeria will not be the first & last country to redesign a currency. Many countries have redesigned their currencies with no issues but reverse is the case in my dear country, Nigeria.

Let there be peace in the country!
Governors and politicians should take every step to forestall peace in their various states
Nobody should hide under the Naira policy to create menace in the society, it's not necessary.
