Over N37m on recharge cards for what? How much did these calls generate for the Emirate? Money in fixed deposit ! Is the Emirate a business venture?

These is why some people are calling for the scrapping of these so-called monarchy.

Furniture for 152 million. I used to hear that hausas don't sit on chairs. That they prefer sitting on mats. But what kind of furniture would command such prices?

So only entourage spent 12 million and 9 million for flight. I wonder how many people travelled with him

I mean, Airtel would be rushing to dash this man airtime. Who does he call with such amount?

Then again, what is the benefit of all these traditional rulers' offices in Nigeria? I still don't know what function they perform different from state and local govts and councils and the multitude of offices already in existence.

Just because Sanusi told his fellow Northerners to stop buliding mosques instead of schools and to support girl child education, they want to roast him.

There is a problem with that country called Nigeria
When jamb was introduced the gov of kano state said it was just a means to stop northerners from going to university...hence they had to come up with quota system instead of SITTING UP, systemic corruption is in their blood.

This lines cut my attention

“The sum of N108 million was also paid to the heirs of the late Emir Ado Bayero by the Emirate Council in respect of his personal cars inherited by the present Emir Muhammadu Sanusi”

“The cars now form part of Kano Emirate Council fleet of vehicles in the palace,” he added. Mr. Wali also said the Council used N142 million to purchase two bullet-proof vehicles based on the advice and approval of the state government, especially after the assassination attempt on the former emir. Download full report of Emir Sanusi’s Kano Emirate Council He denied the allegation that the Council purchased two Rolls Royce executive cars for the Emir.

Call it witch hunting or whatever you like or anything, but the question is did he misappropriate funds while majority of his pple there wallow in abject poverty.

What SLS sow so shall he reap

Note i must tell you that like what he has been saying of late.

cheesy

Forget all the supposed modesty. That probably only applies to the poor. The elite loot as much as they want to under different covers.

Hypocrisy everywhere.

Knew you had something up your sleeve, so why pretend as though you bear this news item in good faith towards Sanusi?.. "Unnecessary over cost expenditures? .. You should check where that nonsense is coming from, it lacks steady supply..

Come up with something better, maybe we can talk.

Any truth at all?
Let's stop attacking ourselves and face facts. Our leaders are comedic and corrupt as well. Only airtel airtime #37m+? Please standing against irregularities should be our take not insults . Are you commending or condemning expenditures of this natures?

I still tell you that there is nothing extravagant their because it is event part of his splendor. Ask yourself this questions."those that approve it are they blind? Or didn't they demand for reasons for doing so? Was sanusi II the first emir to be giving such monies? Did you know how much was found in the house of the former emir when he died?
Go and ask hausa man and he will tell you what they mean by "araunin sarauta gatace komin rashin sayin ta"
And he's following the same footsteps. How is he different from the people he is criticising if he himself still clinging to wasteful spending amidst extreme poverty in the North? Between 4.5 and 6 billion naira in a space of just 3 years with no tangible projects. All what we keep seeing is furniture, cars, recharge cards...... ..
If he wants people to take him seriously, he should live by example. Not all these talk talk that is radiating hypocrisy.

This is just expenses frm an emirates council. Maybe we should beging to look into expenditures of other emirates council as well as all first class traditional council. To me this council spent so much to themselves alone than what a local government spent on entire local goverment areas.

Good evening oga kroger. I was thinking about what to do to save my family from hunger before I just got back my phone from where I used to charge it and saw alert of more than my designated salary. I honestly was almost brought to tears sir. In this harsh economy with fuel scarcity and new notes problem you decided to help me among many. I honestly don't know what to pray to God for you but May God bless you, your children and your generations unborn. You people will never have a better yesterday. I'm on the floor. Thanks a lot sir. And towards the bet sir I honestly just go to that thread to partake in freebies and giveaways especially recharge card or money from winners to supplement the little I have. I don't gamble anymore. That stopped last two years during covid period. I have a lot of responsibilities and problems facing me that will make me add a money taker from me sir. Honestly God bless you again sir. You will live long and never lack. Thanks a lot sir from me and my family. I will also help somebody this month when I'm paid. God bless you and your family sir. Thank you.

Wow. God bless you, the helper @Kroger. I tap into this great unmeritted favour.
