peacefull:Hey quick question, I was watching a documentary on Japan increasing it's military budget and boosting it's military strength. Soldiers and civilians from the Japanese mainlands and those in the islands of Okinawa and co. were also interviewed. "Do you think China is a threat to Japanese national security??" Forget about how the US and NATO portrays China and pls give an honest reply, Thank you. |

Exnavyboy62:Of course! I'm gonna be very honest with you! ![]() But sorry, my English is still very bad and not easy for me to having discussion this kind of things in English. Very very difficult to me. Many things I don't know how to say in English. So, Please forgive me if how my write is strange or off point. And national security is about military and also have non military things. But I'm gonna write about military side of national security. My answer to your question is Yes. What they are doing around Japan's territory and inside Japan is unacceptable. Very violent and threaten Japan and Japanese peoples. Making Japan and Japanese peoples unsafe. Japan can't fight, I mean Japan can't fight war. That's why China, North and South Korea and Russia behave like that to Japan. If Japan can fight back, I don't think they will do something what they are doing now to Japan. That's what I think. You can easily to know which countries don't want and bothering about if Japan can fight back. They are always starting make noise whenever Japan trying to change. But Japan tried and trying to change law and rules are not for fight a war. For protect Japan and Japanese peoples. And for keep safe and peace. JSDF and JCG etc, they are the one who are always facing danger, under threat etc, for protecting Japan and Japanese peoples, even protecting non Japanese peoples in Japan. They are saving our safe and peace. Maybe some peoples say that's their work, their duty etc. But they are also Japanese peoples and they are also humans like any other Japanese peoples. Their work or duty is protecting country doesn't mean we can ignore or don't care about their lives. I never wish to Japan can fight war. But I'm support about fight back for defence. I want them to protect themselves too. So, any countries threat our national security is really unacceptable. Soooo annoying! Any countries, anybody make under threat my country and my peoples are really really unacceptable. But one of thing I'm think about is more Japan get violation will lead to change Japan's law and rules of defence. So, China or North Korea whatever, continuing to threat Japan maybe lead to change Japan. Maybe China and North Korea telling Japan to have power for fighting ![]() Maybe they want Japan to be like them! ![]() Their way of telling Japan to have power is threaten Japan like now! ![]() |

Exnavyboy62:Oh! sorry, my last paragraph is kind of a joke ![]() But nobody knows what is truly inside their minds and what truly they think. And there are many types of point of view ![]() I want you to know that I'm not hating Chinese peoples, North Korean peoples etc. I can't hate peoples because of their nationality. But if I talked about country and country like what they are doing to Japan now, I can't say I like, but I also can't say I hate. I just don't like what they are doing and I don't like what they are saying about it. And Please what I wrote is just my opinion. I'm a just one of Japanese. So, I really don't want you to judge Japan and Japanese peoples only by my opinion ![]() |

peacefull:Your opinion about what North Korea and China are doing forcing your people to change and modify their defense posture appears totally correct. I guess that Kim and Xi Jinping were under the impression that anger at Japanese behavior during WWII would continue forever and act as a major hobble on Japanese arms procurement and deployment. They were wrong, and a major Asian war appears likely in a decade or so. Now, if only South Korea would get some backbone and arm themselves with nuclear weapons. And yeah, they really need to do that soonest, because the only thing that m@dmen like fat Kim fear more than going on a diet or having a gorilla sit on their face is being atomized by an ICBM. |

Nemesis4you:Apart from the Flanker family, the Fulcrum is the most beautiful bird in the world. Sweet b00ty Beyonce has nothing on it! ![]() The Soviets created a very fast and extremely maneuverable interceptor and gave it a missile with an off-boresight capability unlike anything else that was available anywhere else. But they also tied it to GCI control, and gave it a cockpit layout that was something out of purgatory. Imagine creating an awesome bird like this and being unable to make the fullest use of it because ease of use and sensible cockpit arrangement was not a priority to the Soviets. Also imagine the Soviets using a 125 mm main cannon on their MBTs and being unable to make the fullest use of it, because turret arrangement means their tank shells must be in two pieces. Thus, the size advantage over Western 120 mm tank cannons became negligible. Anyway, your country has some major industrial capabilities. It would make a lot of sense to upgrade your Mig 29s to near the Mig 35 level. |

GabrielYulaw:Oh! Really?! Am I correct? I was just little bit joking. But there are always many typs of view of point and peoples are having different view of point. So, I was just saying like that's one way of looking at it ![]() Please, if I'm not bothered you, I like to know about What is your think? opinion? if they are truly telling Japan to have power for fight? They wanna fight war with Japan and wanna get win from Japan? or they wanna team up with Japan to fight with Western countries? etc. I like to know! ![]() Yes! I think so too. They have anger or frustration about old days Japan more than these days Japan. I'm always saying this, they need villian and that's Japan. Of course I can't deny about everythings what Japan did it in the past. I'm not justify myself or Japan to talking bad things about them. But I can't allow everythings what they are saying including war history. Many times I'm thinking like if each Asian countries could have good relationship, Asia will be very wonderful and strong regions ![]() But sadly, seems like impossible. Some countries including Japan, very hard to have good relationship with some countries. My mom once said Western countries don't want Asia to be strong and discordance to each other? each countries? is convenience to them. She don't hate Western countries. But she said like that. Ohhhhhh!! You have a bad mouth like me!! ![]() I like it!! You made me laugh ![]() Thank you soooo much! I appreciate you!! I always said "Kim boy"! He is a very busy for protecting himself. Not protecting his country or peoples, but only protecting himself. I think he thinks he is a weak. So, he has to showing and spreading in the world to let peoples to know and believe he is a very strong man with weapons. And I also think maybe he is a very afraid about what will happen to him if he doesn't has weapons. But this is kind of understandable. |

GabrielYulaw:Soviets excelled in aerodynamic design of fighters They were good enough in electronics too , many do not know US stole billions of worth of soviet technologies during cold war The reason soviet tech fell behind is bec it was geared towards defence sector , without commercial exploitation of tech ie civilian sales , continued funding and innovation is not feasible , one reason why economy of soviet suffered , as it continued to pump state money into defence sector without being able to generate money back from same. Military and civilian industry needs to be intertwined to sustain both of them in the long run We cannot do upgrades of foreign systems by ourselves bec of rules / agreements. That's how it is , foreign OEM/govt needs to be compensated / given a work share etc . Not a question of capability but a question of sanctity of agreements |

peacefull:Well from the way I look at it, I don't think China and North Korea has anything to gain in having any hostilities with Japan. Their only concern is the US which has military bases on Japanese soil and all over the South Asian region. Having a country like the US within reach of China and surrounding China with bases is a threat to their national security cause when war breaks out, the bases will serve as launchpads for operations and it will be easier for the US to blockade China. And as we all know, China doesn't intend to invade the US but the US and NATO bloc for no credible reason sees China as a threat. As for North Korea, they are only doing what they can to keep themselves safe. Since they don't have funds to purchase conventional weapons due to the heavy sanctions on them, they have no choice but to turn to their allies(China and Russia) which has helped them in missile development hence why they have ICBMs or as they like to call it "War deterrent". Those ballistic missile launches that go as far as the senkaku Islands and fall in Japanese waters are not intended to threaten Japan, they are only a response to the exercises conducted by US and South Korea and most especially a message to US that it can strike it's bases and they should stay clear of North Korean territory. But who knows, maybe my opinion is not relevant to the issue on ground, I'm just an armchair general, that's why I asked for the opinion of a Japanese national. Thanks once again for your response. And one more thing, your mother was right about the West not wanting Asia to be strong and united. |

Akash NG IAF Funny thing is the range , unless the range is being deliberately faked it doesn't make sense given the missile is dual pulse and dimensions are comparable to mrsam/lrsam

Drdo jamming pods for su30 mki It is AESA based , don't think Russia has AESA based airborne jamming pods, need to confirm though If curious as to why drdo always shows the airborne jammers together with RWRs Say a BVRAAM switches it seeker on , ie goes active , RWR is going to pick it up It will determine the direction , signal characteristics etc and automatically direct the jamming signals from the jammer towards the approaching source ie BVRAAM AESA based jammer offers many advantage one of which is beam steering, doesn't require the aircraft to reposition itself towards the source perse , and another one is LPI , the location of the jamming aircraft ( due to active jammer ) is harder to determine by hostile sources
