The Lekki free trade zone we see today was a vision of Tinubu in 2003 which he began in 2006. Jakande opened up the Lekki peninsula but it wasn't developed before Tinubu and you wouldn't even think it would ever become one of the top areas of Lagos in terms of Real Estate and investments today.

The man Tinubu has contacts and links of investors in Europe, China, and America and this has helped Lagos greatly right from his time.

Even as far back as 1992 as a Senator we could see his link with investors and the private sector.
