The oil business is good ..

We are going to do exactly what South Africa did with Iranian Oil and what Indian, Japan and China are doing with Russian oil

Who doesn't like cheap oil? Even the US is waiting for cheap oil to fill it strategic reserves
Continue comparing yourself to south Africa.
They have defence industry that can produce hardware to secure their country.
Do remember that your banana republic has not even one MBT and your North border with Burkina is burning as we speak.
You're not even top 10 in west Africa in terms of military power.
Imagine a country that had a coup d'etat attempt in 2019 playing geopolitics with west.
You might be saying you're peaceful but some of us know how volatile your country is and the disdain of the Ghanaian state of elements from northern part and your Eastern flank .

that is sad. An intentional and unnecessary stab called cashless policy . A good direction with wrong timing and wrong execution . Is it currency swapping or currency constification.
Mopping up excess cash but they call it currency swap which is not, because if it is currency swap, people re ought to be given new notes when they return old one which they didn't.
Cbn said 70% of the cash printed re outside the banking system.
Which means people re stocking cash at home which can only be done by politicians for nefarious activities (vote buying/bribing).
Poor man can't stock the little cash he has at home.

What is net forex inflows with Dangote refinery. Nigeria will forego half it's crude revenues in forex- 600K barrels per day - that will be diverted to Dangote. Nigeria has been unable to meet it OPEC ratio. The net flow is the value added.

The excitement about refining oil in Nigeria is misplaced.

Dangote will save Nigeria very little forex - maybe 1 billion dollars max.

Until Nigeria increase oil production to first meet their quota and also give Dangote 600K barrels per day. Then it will save Nigeria about 10B dollars it now use to buy refined oil.

That will be great for Nigerian students.

At least, with the little push, people will be able to finance their education

The refinery is generating more than that amount u wrote, even if the refinery is to generate $200k, it will still save the country 12b dollars every year which is spend on refined oil nd its derivative.
That means additional $12b to spend on something else.

Tinubu promised it in campaign on behalf of Buhari. It's something APC planned to do but Nigeria was already headed for a recession in 2015 and oil prices then continued to plummet. It was then forgotten completely after that.

You didnt learn basic equation?
Dangote will buy 600K barrels of Crude using Naira.
The owners of crude will forgo 600K barrels of USD per day...to sell to Dangote

Nigeria OPEC limits are 1.8-2.2M

Nigeria has not been able to meet it.

For Nigeria to benefit from Dangote - it needs to ramp up production to 2.6-2.8M barrels per day

Then it will earn 1.8- 2.2M from export of crude - and save 12B its would have used to import refined oil.

Right now Nigeria is struggling to hit 1.5m - Dangote comes - takes 0.6m - Nigeria will export 0.9m.

Can Nigeria improve production by that much.

Yes and No. It need to fix insecurity, crude theft and invest in oil production.

Short term - Zero IMPACT from Dangote.

Very wrong and misleading information. Let's go back to basics there are about 150 million bank account in Nigeria. But only 53 million people have account. You have a situation that for everyone blessing has up to three or four bank accounts. The amount of people which have bank account to the size of population is about 1/4 or 25%. You do not need to be a rocket scientist to know that for every name of a person has up to three account. But when you look at the bvn registration you find out there are only 53 million people. Most people in the country have 3 account.

Ah ... The election is done? 😳😳

How the hell did only 20 million people vote ?

Why does a country of 230 million leave the selection of political leaders to just 20 million?

I thought I was going to see like 40, 50 or 60 million votes
Some say maybe our population is not up to what is reported.

Very good mathematics one thing you forgot you did not put debt of the nation into consideration. The country is going over 100 billion US dollar, this is why dangote refinery does not want to come online because all their profits we go into paying Nigeria's debt .

Most of the businesses are not interested in operating because of the high debt levels add multiple taxations to pay back the debt. The same thing with eko Atlantic

Buhari already set June for complete subsidy elimination. All 3 frontrunners had promised to remove subsidy.
Buhari is such a fraudulent character. Why didn't he remove the subsidy in his 8 years? He knew either Atiku or Tinubu would win and those are the men with the balls to remove the subsidy. Though I have my misgivings about total removal, I know it's just a matter of time.

do I expect a valueless IMF property to understand what I said.
Ok, let me dumb it down for your Ghanaian brain, "THE PEACEFM", way.
1, You're buying Russian oil that is under western sanctions.
2, the west can easily destabilize your country because you're indirectly funding the Russian WAR in UKRAINE.
3, your country can easily be destabilized given how volatile the country "ghana" is internally.
In real life, there are inter-tribal conflicts which the WEST can exploit.
4,the south African state has military industrial complexes that can produce military hardware to fight internal conflicts hence doing so because south Africa did it, means you're exposing your country.
5, south Africa is a member of the BRICS and can get financial support to fight insurgency unlike your insignificant country.

They should remove it to subsidise other things because Benin, Niger, Cameroon are benefiting substantially from it. We can subsidise other important things even Diesel.

It's not up for debate anymore. Tinubu will remove the subsidy.
What do you think he'd do about Buhari's cash-scarcity policy? I'm of the belief that Tinubu will reverse it as it is counterproductive to the progress of the economy and the ease of doing business.

Even the IMF colony- ghana.
That country wishes every country in west Africa is unstable cos it benefits them.
I tell you what, the country called ghana can not compete in a level playing field in a stable west African subregion.
A stable Cote D'ivoire and Nigeria is a threat to the IMF colony.
Guess how much their degree awarding mishroom institutions are making from Nigerians.
Do you think they'll be happy to have a president that's willing to fix our educational sector.
Their real estate sector is directly benefiting from corrupt practices in Nigeria and they want that to continue.
Even their female celebrities are direct beneficiaries of the looting of our common wealth.

Although that alone should not be reason to continue with it if it's seen to have economic disadvantages at the end of this quarter.
