How is Senate Presidency even beneficial to a Region?

When David Mark was SP for 8years, did Benue Pple benefit much?

Or when Dimeji Bankole was HOR Speaker, did he do Wonders For Yorubas? huh

Mr Seun has Given you a SECOND CHANCE so, U Better Wise up, OK? 😒🙂
You be mumu with this your post. Why do you think Tambuwal won his governorship then? Who does appropriation? Of course the leaders influence project sighting to their states. It's not about doing wonders but they have more leaveridge over resources. Has Buhari performed magic in Katsina ? Or did Osibanjo do magic in Lagos or Ogun despite his position ?No, but Buhari sighted choice infrastructure there. Same applies to the leaders of the NASS. Not having anything is your loss. Dey play, dey play !

Can you imagine, igbos had 6 senate presidents under Obasanjo.

Only a shameless and DUMB IPOB will list those as South East achievement.

Senate president was zoned to the south east and I can remember how much the south east kept stabbing each other in the back just to be senate presidents

What benefits did the current senate President attract to his home state or region by virtue of his position? Lazy youth. South Easterners don't depend on politics to feed like some of you.
So shove your SP position into your a**e

The gradual development of my region which we are very proud of.

People relocate to where there are better opportunities, if those opportunity are not there in my region, Okonkwo's biggest achievement in life won't be how to make it to Lagos and buy a plot of land. Dreams fulfilled

Sometimes, we have to look at the bigger picture. NC and NW gave Tinubu this victory. They can both demand for the Senate president ahead of the SS.

This country is divided and we need to start the healing process. I’m not saying SS should be denied anything. I’m only saying that conceding the senate Presidency to the SE will start the healing process, I think we should give it a trial. I’m sure our SS brothers won’t oppose their SE brother getting the Senate presidency.
Are you saying we should pander to the Igbos despite their bad blood toward us? That will not happen! SS is more politically reliable than SE. Until they work for it no sensitive post should be handed over to them on a platter.

I disagree with this position. We have to bring the SE into considering irrespective of the voting pattern. Igbos are currently very hurt and wounded. Denying them the Senate presidency will further wound them and push them away from national relevance.

We need to make some concessions to them in the overall interest of unity, peace and stability. If giving them the Senate Presidency will help to start the healing process, let’s give them. South south can get the SGF position. A winner takes it all system will only punish the loser. Don’t let’s go through the 5% route again. This country really needs to heal.
The Senate President belong to us South South. South East Never voted APC. Even Orji Uzor Kalu supported Lawan. Tinubu/APC had significant votes in the South South APC had two senators each from Edo, Delta and Cross River. You can't reap were you did not sow. South East should forget the Senate President, that is the right of the South South.

SW is the one that should be preparing for Senate President because Peter Obi who is going to be the president is from South East while Datti, the vice president is from the North

mumu it's not about been bigger, it's about popular representation of that region, perhaps their representative didn't do a good job but a better representative would have made sure there are strong arguments to improve the infrastructural development in the south eastern region due to advantages of youthful population, industry, automobile, transportation & commerce. Which would have in turn lead to prosperity, this how politics is supposed to serve people & not the dumb ethnic bickering Nigerians are currently involved in. There's a shortage of ebergy & gas in the European countries & Nigerians aren't concerned why we aren't making a kill & milking the situation but instead we are allowing the most dumbest reasons devide us, the whites trash talking Nigerians election were no where to be found when Trump was shouting his election was rigged in favor of Joe Biden...

Since the presidency is out of SE's league, won't they settle for the visible ?
