I believe in the national government saving money if savings is for a purpose other than itself. For a government that prints its own currency, to save that currency merely for saving’s sake is to accumulate worthless paper.

I wonder if Tinubu still holds this view though. For me, saving dollars in an excess crude account is the only wise thing to do but saving naira in a bank makes no sense.
