If Jorginho gives Reece James on the Right wing a pass, so far he is slightly ahead of Jorginho, it will be counted as a forward pass. And the stats will add it to number of forward passes, when in reality it was to the side and no progression was made.

When some of us are talking about backward passes, we are not talking about passes he gives Thiago Silva alone. We are talking about passes he will give James or Chilwell or even the player just by his side, when he could have released the forward players.

For Example, the shot Felix played against the post in the weekend, Enzo gave him that pass. I was thinking he would give Chilwell, because he Chilwell was free, and within a spilt second, we were through on goal with Felix.

You are a foo.l. Almost every player change their pattern of play when they are getting older. The fact that you have a pant in Jorg who claim to be CDM but not poor at defending and easily subdued that Kante have to do his job doesn’t mean it is Kante’s fault.
