The Benin empire... My people where the greatest empire ever met by the whites but like everything the Yoruba twist and change history and truth. Lagos belongs to the Benin empire. The Yoruba / awari / egun people were slaves to the Benin empire. The Benin empire used Lagos as a port to dock ships and.trade with foreigners. The ports were mostly a hotbed for slave labour and trade hence the tribe today known as the Yoruba who were ourselves where plenty there The Benin people own Lagos state . The Yoruba are a very evil and bad tribe, they thrive in lies propaganda and testing truth Don't be surprised in future they will tell you how Lord lugard was a Yoruba man, or how Moses in the bible or the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) was a Yoruba man. Fear those people |

PrinceofSarcasm:Benin did not own Lagos. They conquered Lagos during the conquest of Benin empire and installed a king. Lagosian were paying tributes to the Benin king before the awori fought back and reclaimed their land. |

Femmyfamous4u:What is this human rituals loving , child molesting liking, rape indulging , amala munching bonobo talking about ? You Yoruba will forever keep twisting history and spreading propaganda as you are known to do but the truth will never be buried, ask the West how fare they. We Benin own Lagos , we always have and always will. A day of reckoning is coming for you YORUBA, a day when all sins will be revisited. Don't worry |

PrinceofSarcasm:Cry more. Keep laying claims to what's not. Go and verify what I put up there. Chestbeating is nothing. The Oba of Benin confirmed that he is a descendant of Oranmiyan who is a child to Oduduwa. And you think the king who seats on the throne of Oduduwa is inferior to Oba of Benin? The joke is on you. Go and ask Oba of Benin himself. |

mrvitalis:Aro conferencey powers reached powers to equational guinea and Cameroon Search it up Although yes they weren't a conquering power they may have found lands that people weren't there Then what was aro then? |
| Re: What Was The Largest Empire/kingdom In Nigeria? by mrvitalis(m): 8:19am On Mar 21, 2023 |
TheIgborepublic:Aro never liked to rule over people ...they just do trade fight and beat you if you try to tax them but would never rule over you Even when they have aro villages they would never attempt to expand Igbo soil is supreme to Igbos that's where we are buried ...we can own your land ...to us it's like owing a card it's just a measure of wealth ...not that we wasn't it to be Igbo land |

PrinceofSarcasm:Yes, I say it again. Highly revered Oba of Benin is descendant of Oduduwa and we're brothers with the Benin people. But No, Oba of Benin is not superior to any of the first class kings in Yoruba land. The then Oba of Benin was controlling Lagos because they conquered it during conquest but since the awori fought back to reclaim their land, it ceased. Oba of Benin will bow to Ooni of Ife in homage. |

mrvitalis:Lmao. Igbo hated themselves thus were found in several isolated Hamlets separated from one another because the Igbo didn't want to end up in a pot of soup by their next door Igbo neighbor. That was why they isolated themselves. That was how the Whites found them. Several Isolated Hamlets, Uncivilized, Naked and eating human flesh. Go and read history. But once civilization was brought to them, their innate greediness and wickedness (reason why they eat their fellow human) started to show thus the reason why they wanna steal people land as well as act hateful to those who accommodate them. |

PrinceofSarcasm:Benin was more of kingdom than an empire. And Benin never had ships - Benin’s sojourn to Lagos in search of an Ilaje ruler was with Itsekiri navy and boats. Oyo empire was the largest empire in Nigeria. |
