I dont think I have ever seen Ghanaians (at least in many years) to literally go out of their way to destroy or loot people property during riots. Instead, we protested against the government by closing all our stores down in a 3-day protest over the soaring costs of living.

Value-addition is what will help Africa.
From agriculture to mining to natural resources.
Africa has to create value/wealth in Africa.
Africa rather than banning import to engage in stupid import substitution.
Should ban export of raw materials.
Force developed world to bring their factories.
No export of any raw thing - not even crude oil.
Then give the developed countries special economic or export processing zones near the port.
Let them come there - and process the raw materials into finished products - and let it be written Made in Africa.
At worse we should demand - all exports should be semi-processed.

Making the finalized product of something countries and consumers actually want in the global market is something that will actually make africa the real money here and industrialize and develop their countries much quicker.

Instead they often opt to sell their mineral rights to any foreign company to extract them and pay them pennies in return like with Botswana and DeBeers. Botswana gets 10% of the profits of diamonds while rest of it goes to DeBeers. Then said finalized production goods get reimported back to the country which the African consumer is paying 2x ~ 4x the price for it hence rinse and repeat the government is in a vicious cycle of getting the short end of the stick.

It's just as bad as China and Africa's deal of infrastructure for minerals deal.

Kenya Airways and South African Airways have finally announced the formation of the much-touted Pan-African Airline Group next year after the plan was first mooted three years ago.

Soon everyone will want a piece of it thanks to African Open Sky Initiative that will allow KQ-SAA running as Pan-African Airlines to fly in and out of any port.

KQ wont have to terminate in Kenya - but can fly from Accra to Lagos.

The new partnership will come at a time when the national carrier has been granted rights to operate cargo from Johannesburg to Lusaka, Maputo, Harare, Lilongwe and Dar-es-Salaam.


The move means that KQ no longer has to fly back to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, as has been the case, before in order to ferry the cargo to these countries .

Previously, all traffic departing from Johannesburg had to pass through its Nairobi hub.

I don't think people just love looting,it's the hunger which drives people to act somehow. The more hunger the people are, the more the madness.That's a simple equation
