Princessstee: It means trade, internal and external trade. Containers contain commercial and manufactured goods, import and export. Trade is the activity of buying, selling, or exchanging goods or services between people, firms, or countries. This is one of the primary modes of wealth creation. Since 80 percent of what is imported into Nigeria, for trade or manufacture, is attributable to a certain ethnic group that is definitely not Yoruba, it is easy to see why some people are bent on a narrative that they know is asinine. 1 Like |

History555: Even though your statistics is wrong because most of the companies i personally know in oyo and ogun are owned by yorubas, show us prof if it is otherwise. it still doesn't make any sense because larger percentage of the properties and investments found in developed countries like Dubai, UK etc is owned by non indigenes, could you also say these places are not developed?. Dont doubt the obvious, its a fool's and losers game. |

00FFT00: There must be a problem somewhere if you think Ladipo is the only market in Lagos not to talk of entire SW.. Go to ibadan markets which even sells cheaper car parts and find out if you will see igbos there... Gbaji markets which sells the cheapest product comprises of 90% of yoruba women. The thing is trading is mostly limited to women in yoruba land became is it lazy job and doesn't require much reasoning.. Yoruba men are artisans which is much more technical, you will find them operating machines, production and politics which an average person can not easily understand. An average yoruba guy will learn to repair cars instead of selling pants. 1 Like |

babydioku: The state will apply for approval to build, get approval, then proceed to build. Any state interested in building port can apply. |

BastadThiefnubu: What stupid evidence? Of course the Lekki seaport wouldn't have been worked on without an approval from the federal government but federal government contributed no kobo in it. That's the fact on ground. Why don't you tell us the amount federal government contributed? 1 Like 1 Share |

Princessstee: Igbo is Yoruba's wholesaler nationwide since most importation and manufacturing are domiciled with them. Igbo is increasingly installing and consolidating manufacturing bases as a direct fallout of their dominance of domestic trade. Lagos is getting a good chunk of the Igbo "can do" spirit with its accommodation of the major shipping ports and airport. There is a reason the situation of functional ports in other parts of the country, specifically in the SE, continues to be vehemently frustrated in what appears to be a conspiratorial arrangement. You will equally find Igbo men and women in all the disciplines you allocated Yoruba men, effectively competing and dominating as always. Yes, I recognize and salute the resilience and entrepreneurial spirit of Yoruba women. They have my respect. In place of making spurious claims of managerial and financial acumen, Yoruba may want to understudy Igbo in the various departments of her commercial life, including her incredibly successful apprenticeship system. You must first create wealth that will be administered. There is a reason the United Kingdom's economy immediately shrank by nearly 6% upon Brexit. They are not wealth creators, but administrators. Compared to her top 3 European Peers, the United Kingdom has the least installed manufacturing base. Yoruba will do herself a big favor when they stop envying, and start copying as China did. Igbo is already on a good course. 2 Likes |

Bestmanfornow: Igbos have more stake in oil and gas especially gas than your ethnic group. Even in the south south where I come, their communities have the highest of onshore production. Also remember imo ,abia and Anambra are now nndc . Soon Enugu will join the list 1 Like |
