The market went upto $170
You set a new SL at $120 just incase the price reverse

If price eventually drop to $120 and your new SL is hit

How much is Your Profit or how much did you lose

Remember that your initial entry price was at $100 and your new SL was at $120 and not $80

I have made up my mind, if I see a trader making mistake, I notify the trader and move on, if the trader like, the trader takes it, or start fighting me, but only one of these options will make the trader profitable.

is it me or what,, but It seems like Forex is becoming easier and boring everyday..

I look at the same patterns everyday, I lose everyday, I win everyday, there's nothing that the market does that surprises me anymore....

you just have your risk management on point, your psychology is on point, your strategy has been forward and backward tested a thousand times. you've the patience because experience has taught you that the markets must show its hand at the end of the day, you are a "waiter"

you wait for a setup, wait for entry, wait for TP or SL, wait for news release, wash rinse repeat

the only new excitement that comes, is in trying to push your profit limits

- Enter a buy trade
- When in profit, put a stop loss directly under the current position of the market.
- When the market reverse and hit your stop loss, come and show us the profit you made.

What Donsheddy did/used was a trailing stoploss or modified stoploss which is used to secure a trade already in profits

it is quite different from the traditional stoploss

you cant be right and everyone else wrong

Let me use layman's terms for you.

I bought a pen at #20, the price of pen increase to #70, I move my stop loss to #50, i.e if the price of pen reduces from #70 to #50, then I want to get out of my buy position and sell the pen at that price.

Considering the fact I bought the pen at #20 and it increases to #70, but the price came down, so I had to sell it at #50.... am I making loss or profit..

No offense, but if you can't understand it this way, even baby pips can't help you.

Some time ago I told someone about how I have figured out a way to be profitable in forex, but it requires large capital, the person got angry saying trading is scam, I had to explain that the aim of trading is to make more profit than loss, this person insist that nobody is profitable, anytime I tried to say something, the person will counter with insults and claim they know everything.

So I ask this person, what was your trading technique, lot size, basic trading questions, this person said those things don't matter, that they gave a professional with good trading history over half a million naira and they blew the account, while the person kept ranting I said to myself, so you've never traded in your life yet you go about saying forex trade is a scam.

We need to be careful who we listen to.

Maybe you increased your stop loss by 20 pips as soon as you went into profit, instead of reducing it.
