Falz and Vector's latest release titled "Mr. Yakubu" has been making waves online. During an interview with Arise TV, Falz was asked about the motivation behind the song. He explained that it is a reflection of recent events surrounding the election and the alleged irregularities that occurred.

Falz emphasized that the song is self-explanatory and encourages listeners to pay attention to the lyrics and visuals in the accompanying video to understand the message being conveyed.

Falz was asked in the interview about his previous support for INEC's voter awareness campaigns, and why he had turned away from them. He explained that it was due to his discontent with INEC's illegal actions

Prior to the interview, a preview of the music video was shown, prompting the presenter to inquire about the potential for censorship, especially given the banning of Falz's 2018 hit "This is Nigeria" by the National Broadcasting Commission for being deemed "vulgar and unfit" for broadcast.
