Good evening boss,
I was looking for a way to reach out to you privately. The break of structure and chance of character strategy you use. I wanna learn from you boss.

Good evening sir, how are you doing? I'm just seeing this now. I'm in no way a boss, and the blind can't lead the blind. grin But what I can do is direct you to where I learnt and maybe you can pick up pointers from there.

Check zm capitals on Instagram and go through his posts, you'd start to find a pattern for entries both aggressive and confirmation types. He also has a YouTube channel with the same name, so you could also chech that out.

I am in no way a boss, we are all learning. Do have a great night sir, thank you
Thanks a whole lot. Checked him out today. He literally helped me understand the missing piece. Thanks once again.

this boy @humble trader no wan learn.. win rate is nevr important .. what matters is your risk to reward.

Both are important . Because a 30% win rate with a 1:5 risk to reward ratio simply takes you nowhere.

30% win rate: You lose 7 of every 10 trades and win 3 keeping a 5RR. That’s 15% up
Losing 7 trades - 7% negative.
Month end , net profit is 8%.

This is holding constant, the fact that the 7 losses do not affect psychology because the sequence in which the 7 losers will come can be random. What if it’s in 7 straight losing trades ? A streak ?
It automatically takes away the confidence to even execute the other 3 winning trades and that’s bad too.

Summary: Both of them play important roles.

Bro, let me help us see this 30% win rate with risk to reward of 1:5

Let's assume I risk $100 per trade

Out of 10 trades, let's assume he lost seven (7) times

That will be 7 * $100 = $700 loss

For the win, he makes FIVE (5) times what he risks per trade, meaning whenever he wins, he will get $500

so when he wins 3 out of 10 times, he will have 3 * $500 = $1,500 profit

Let's subtract the loss of $700 from his profit of $1,500

The trader will still have $800 profit!!!

This is the power of drilling down into the micro-structure before executing your trades.

The stop loss will b by far smaller but the rewards will be very great whenever the trade works.

I think the greater challenge is whether the trader has the discipline to hold the trade until it hits the 5R target.

Many guys are making huge killings in this market by doing this simple thing.

My fellow trader, what he did with the stop loss is what is called,"break even". One can break even with just enough pips to cover commission and swaps if he hold the trade beyond at least a day. Please google the term, "break even" and you'll get better explanation than what I've given here my dear friend, shalom.

More like Trailing Stop.

What Donsheddy did/used was a trailing stoploss or modified stoploss which is used to secure a trade already in profits

it is quite different from the traditional stoploss

But this analysis just lacks nuance. These losses do something to one’s psychology. What’s the probability that he would be able to look at the trades objectively having been on a losing streak? If psychology is battered, the chances he would revenge-trade also increase, chances he might not hold for TP also increases, especially when one of the three trades probably ends up in break-even.

Bottom line is, 30% is poor, it would mess up a Traders psyche

Traders are just stubborn.

You openly displayed your deficiency in maths and stats.

I have tried to correct you with love and care yet you open your "olodo" mouth and still come back to me to say "yen-yen-yen"

What level of arrogance is this with traders? It is already established that the trader has a win rate of 3 out of 10 trades. Now you are bringing up excuses to say "what if"

See, you had better keep your ego in one corner, open your ears wide and listen up when you are being corrected.

I have zero tolerance for arrogance IF you are ignorant. If you know say you wan follow me argue or drag anything, better be sure that you know exactly what you are talking about.

Instead of you to humbly come here and say "thanks" you still dey follow me argue. What insolence!!!

Even a 20% win rate and a 1:5 risk to reward will still keep you profitable. If your computational ability is lacking, do not come drag crap with me.

Please let's embrace humility as traders. I will chastise you if you want to prove stubborn and when I do it to you, I ain't gonna be nice and gentle. The markets taught me in the most brutal of ways. Na so gan-gan I go use take correct you.

How person wey nor fit do small mathematical computation still dey do dry yanga?

Nansense!

NOTE: It is Saturday. Na so so trouble I dey find online as my getaway from the charts.

Be good guys!

You're using the "what if" to suit your argument, since you're using "what if" it'll be fair to level the playground.......

1. In a losing streak, Out of the 7 losing trades, chances of him not waiting for the trade to hit stop loss also increases, he might just decide to close at 1:2 or 1:1........or he might even break even.....

2. see how you decided to add the break even to the winning trade, are you trying to tell me that there'll be no break even out of the 7 other trades, because you clearly didn't add it, you only added the Break even to 3 potential winning trade to further suit your narrative.

what if---out of the seven trade, all don't end in losses, if you target 1:5, and your trade is running at 1:3, you didn't break even, then the trade comes back to take you out at a loss, will you blame your RR or yourself for refusing to break even

This 1:5 RR we're using is just an example, don't forget that there are traders out there who even target between 1:10 to 1:20 or probably more......even 2 wins and one break even won't even make them less profitable.

Please answer this question honestly

* between being a trader who has a 50 %win rate on a 1:1 and a trader who has 30% win rate on a 1:5, which are you likely to choose?

Funny enough it isn’t, in this craft you have to be intentional. Why do you see it as a normal thing to slack, because such behaviors ain’t a characteristic of a pro trader … day there they give your mind the believe that that’s space for it to break your rules and that’s spells doom to any strategy regardless of its RRR peace and light 💡 ✌️

Good morning fam

If the confidence you've got in trading is based on one sure and very consistent signal provider, you will loose whatever you've made with them for months in just one day of their failure..

Why?

Overconfidence. It will push you into a terrible risk management.

Risk Management is the Holy Grail.

Good day

If the trader cannot properly pinpoint or identify the reason for the loosing streak, I suggest that he/she should take a break and read more books.
