It seems the North (Hausa and Fulani) are ruling and they would keep ruling. I would not be surprised if they decide to change the name of the country to suite them. It seems either IGP and/or COAS is their birth right.

They would keep ruling. It is either they emerge as President or Vice President of Nigeria. As if that is not enough for them, they would find a way of ensuring that they emerge as either Senate President or Speaker of Nigeria. Any serious minded person that is not from the North and that wants to become the President of Nigeria must chose a Northern as running mate.

This was what Tambuwal did in 2011 and Tinubu supported him. The PDP had zoned the speaker position to the southwest but most of the southwest reps were in ACN and they connived with Tambuwal to jettison zoning. Tinubu then used this as a point to claim that Jonathan marginalised Yorubas.

If we look at the numbers we’ll, some of the North West senators have a point because they contributed the most to the victory of APC at the federal level.

However, I think the APC leaders should negotiate real hard and try to concede some thing and make sure that Senate presidency is zoned to the South South.

Personally, i don't support zoning but if it must be zoned then South South or North Central should have it. We South Easterners are still building bridges and may be ready for such exalted offices after 16 years.
