It has come to my attention that Prof. Yemi Oke sent a letter denigrating a renowned Chimamanda Adichie's opinionated letter regarding the Nigerian elections and the legitimacy of the Tinubu administration. It's simple for him to say that, and unlike Nobel laureate Profressor, he is an active supporter of the APC and was running for senator in Ogun State under the APC, so you wouldn't expect anything less from him. He and his likes (The Nobel laureate professor) are just another FFK with a Doctorate.

Chimamanda is insane for writing head of another government to take action against the government of Nigeria because polls said Obi will win, but after election Tinubu was winner.

Elections determine electoral victory, not polls.

She deserve to be denigrated. I dont care how important she is in literary circles, we have Nigerians that have achieved far better than her, and are incognito. Tell Ngozi Adichie to not end up frustrated and disillusioned like her mentor late Achebe.

Chima the IPOB girl thought polls win elections. The polls said Hillary would defeat Trump too.

She never said to take action; instead, she stressed the need for the US to refrain from validating a flawed process. Since the US is the custodian of democracy, it is improper for them to support an undemocratic process.

So because he don contest before, he no get right to air his vexation on Adichie anomaly?
I tok am before na, you won't be needing your brain anymore the moment you start supporting Obi.

Adichie attended ECSU for BSc, then JHU and Yale for MBA, and she feels unsatisfied with the election mainly because her preferred candidate lost. She excels in her field, then she summon the POTUS through her letter.

Prof. Yemi Oke attended Unilorin, Unilag, York University, lectured and acquired the landmark awards in his field in each of these schools. He's a Nigerian who's riled up, like millions of us, and has the right to refute the rubbish advocated by Adichie. Simple!

If e vex you, write letter to the POTUS and the Canadian PM too.

The custodian of democracy showed two years ago on live broadcast that the electoral process is imperfect. The now sitting president was then the president-elect and was almost denied his victory. He has first hand experience how flawed the electoral process in America is. Nigeria is not an exception.

Even if your argument were to be taken on face value, it still insane of her for poking nose into a political process she has disowned and refused to honor.

Is this not on same line of insanity she displayed few years ago instructing Hillary Clinton about her domestic role?

As Professor Ayo said, and I agree, this girl's ego is over bloated. She needs to be given political education that elections win victories, not polls. She thinks of herself a diva by world standard, but in reality she is just a candidate for black representation on world stage.

You mean a PhD holder has no say in what a common storybook writer cum plagiarist Chimamanda Adiche wrote?... the useless Adiche didn't even take part in the elections but feels opinionated about the outcome.

Igbos don't seem to realize that Yorubas are not Northerners that will keep quiet while they push false narratives around.. likes of Adiche would be disgraced and all her secrets exposed. She is yet to respond to the allegations of theft against her.. how Achebe stole someone else's work for Adiche.

Ibos have always stolen glories belonging to others. Achebe and one Elizabeth Acholonu were the culprits behind copying glories alien to ibo and stamping it as ibo past. There are many lines on cultural and ancestral Yoruba they forged and moderated to relabel as Ibo culture and tradition. If you ask for etymology behind certain symbols they have zero clue. Because they stole it from elsewhere.

Tell me more about this work Achebe stole for Adichie.

Anne Giwa-Amu, writer of 'Sade' claims her original manuscript was revised without her consent by Achebe and Chimamanda Adiche to form another novel 'Half of a Yellow Sun' Adiche now takes credit for.. she raised valid points in her claims and wondered how Chimamanda who wasn't even born during the war had so much to write about it.
You should look up her claims and videos and the weak defense Adiche put up in response.

He will always have a biased opinion because he is an active APC member. He is a politician, so he is expressing his viewpoint to us in that capacity rather than as an unbiased person. Even the blind understand that this election was substantially rigged and influenced. On that point, the APC has already concurred. I don't understand why some people, like you, persist standing up for the indefensible.

She has consistently raised awareness of issues that she believed Africa was lacking on a global scale. Or is the EU representative also Ibo? The EU statement on the elections highlights the fact that they were heavily rigged. Was the election heavily rigged, or not, should be your genuine self-examination. Was Tinubu found guilty of trafficking drugs or not? If he is, that completely disqualifies him from running for the nation's top office.

Regardless of our political views, we need to be able to be honest with ourselves.

I was once a fervent admirer of ASIWAJU, but I can't deny that he is a convicted drug lord with a lot of unanswered questions. For a nation like Nigeria, electing a notorious drug lord sets a poor example. Repentant book-haram, robbers, and convicted fraudsters (as is already the case with the governor of Ogun state) will soon be running for political office, and all they need is money and violence. Nigeria would perish if we allow people of this caliber to get into office.

You're referring to the US. lol. If you are convicted of even the tiniest offense in the US, it will be impossible for you to find employment, let alone pursue the highest office in the land.

Literary works and plagiarism are like 5 and 6. This is nothing new. Whatever your dig, there is no denying the fact that she is a literary powerhouse. Even the Immortal William Shakespeare was a plagiarist himself. The majority of his works were plagiarized from Plutarch.

Election was not rigged. Your belief that Obi won came from churches who anointed him as God's chosen, and voodoo polls that said Obi is leading in North and middlebelt.

When results showed that God chosed Tinubu you all rejected it and questioned why God will chose muslim-muslim ticket over christian candidate. You set yourself up for this dissapointment. You made it a divine call. God has chosen Tinubu. Abi you want to say God rigged election?
