This went beyond rigging. It was daylight robbery attempted. The REC showed himself as someone who had received a very hefty sum as bribe to make the pronouncement. He knew it was not within his official mandate, but he tried to make it work for whoever sponsored him.

Also to be recommended are the security personnel attached to him. They cannot claim ignorance to the fact that it was not responsibility of the REC.

If the whole coup was planned with the knowledge of Aso rock hawks alongside Madam, will the IGP be able to take action against the REC, most especially when the CP of Police in the state was sited when the illegality was being perpetuated?
