When Imo state was created, the three towns were nearly at the same rate in modern development. I don't understand why you brought in matter of other rural areas in Owerri that are not on the same status with Okigwe, Owerri and Orlu.

Just prove what i said that you don't know Owerri. I just mentioned communities inside Owerri. Show me the Owerri community that is so modernised as you portrayed. Douglas rd and Wetheral rd is not the beginning nor end of Owerri.
And if you keep blaming the people of Owerri for the useless rulers in the state or the eye service projects governors do in capital then furthering this discussion with you is useless.
Have you seen an Owerri person that wants Orlu and Okigwe to remain less developed?

Bolded: from Day 1 till today, Owerri people hurriedly dragged and located in Owerri every federal and state government institution and infrastructure for Imo state that induces development wherever located, they never thought of what could be left in Okigwe and Orlu to also induce human and economic development in these two areas, does that look like Owerri people like development in Okigwe and Orlu? What do you think that made Owerri people force then gov Evans Enwerem to locate Imo State University in Owerri when FUTO, The Polytechnic Nekede, Alvan Ikoku College and all Federal and state government parastatals were located in Owerri, but nothing in Okigwe and Orlu?

Don't you know that Owerri became the only modern and livable place in today's Imo state, as Okigwe and Orlu dry up, because of location of all these government institutions and infrastructures in Owerri, but nothing in Okigwe and Orlu?

Delta state governors build and maintain govt infrastructures in Asaba, Warri, Ughelli, Agbor - big cities in Delta state the size of Owerri.
Imo state governors build and maintain infrastructures 98% in Owerri only. Every Imo governor is told to build Owerri to international standards; future governors will take care of Orlu and Okigwe.. the governors do that.
Is that zoning in Imo State?

Imo Uni Uturu, FGC Okigwe, Adapalm ohaji, Avutu poultry, College Umuagwo(nw university), Imo Airport etc were they all located in Owerri? FUTO was the only uni, Alvan and Nekede were jst colleges in diffrent communities.
You've continuosly failed to show me the Owerri community where these ur modernisations happen?
I'm not Indigene of Owerri but U just sound like the bigots that hate Igbo people no just reason.

Imo governors are told by WHO? Is it same Owerri people the govs are beating &shooting?
And WHY can't you show the 98% projects in Owerri? Orlu governors have ruled 20yrs out of 24yrs since 1999. The other 4yrs was Okigwe. But Owerri people who are also suffering, are your problem instead of calling for good governance.!
Every governor anywhere in the world does eye service christmas decoration and painting of medians in the capital. How is that project?
Every institution since 1999 is outside Owerri mostly in ORLU zone.
UDENWA built orlu road, international market, stadium, teaching hospital etc.
ROCHAS and UZODINMA built and rebuilt same orlu road, uni ideato, poly omuma, made umuagwo to uni, malaysia market obowo, nursing school and college of education etc all outside Owerri.

In terms of number of registered voters and PVC collected Owerri zone outnumbered Orlu zone.
In terms of total number of people residing in owerri zone only 5 LGAs of Owerri North, Owerri west, Owerri municipal, Mbaitolu and Ikeduru local government areas outnumbers the 12 local government of Orlu zone.

Anyway a strong guber candidate from Owerri senatorial zone can win next guber election in Imo state because gov Hope Uzodinma segregated out most of Orlu senatorial zone from his govts development efforts. One street alone in main Okigwe and main Orlu, is what Uzodinma govt reconstructed since 2020.
