Strange Gift by lorenzos1: 5:14am On Apr 22, 2023
Recently a friend and his wife visited me at home, late at night without pre- informing me of their visit.
They live about 30 mins drive from me and usually come visiting once in 4months after several invites.
When they came in the wife handled me a bag and said it was a gift from the husband. On opening it I saw 3 native caps.
Now I do not wear native and I have never seen the husband on native, so I told him I don't need it, since I have no native to go with it. He insisted that I should take it that I can wear to church sometime, I mentioned we do not wear caps in church, and that he should give it to any of his brothers or cousins. I asked why he didn't call to ask me about it first since he had never seen me on native.
He became adamant and refused to take or touch the gift. He mentioned that I should at least even check if it is my size then I became suspicious.
Because it was becoming an argument, I changed the topic and offered them something to drink which they declined then there was a huge silence and they said they were leaving.
When they got to the door, I asked if he would be taking the caps and he didn't say anything and left.

Now about 3 months before this his wife asked me to recommend her for my previous role in my department, so I told her how much I was earning and what she should bargain for, i aslo told her i got a good offer on getting promoted, and then she mentioned she doesn't understand why it is so hard for her husband to get a similar good Job.
Should I be worried. Or am I thinking too much ?

Edited: I did not wear the cap, I threw it away.

...... Don't wear the caps,... Don't even bother to try it on. I hope you did not put it on?..

Humans can be very wicked beyond your imagination... Don't force them to take the gift back but never should you try to put the caps on.. then pray fervently
