If naira have value, that wouldn't have been a problem.
Increasing the minimum wage without growing the economy, increasing export, having right and foresighted leaders will all be useless.

The people don't have mercy on their own selves. Imagine children of underpaid civil servants championing the cause of the overpaid paymasters because of politics.

I don't think a national minimum wage is worth discussing. Let's talk about your state instead. The minimum wage should be whatever you guys need it to be. If the federal minimum is too low you're more than free to raise it. There's no point comparing Katsina to Lagos if we consider worker productivity or cost of living in either state.

Ps: The federal minimum wage is $7.25 per hour in America.
