How Much Should Be The Minimum Wage In Nigeria? by overseasnbeyond(op): 7:10pm On Apr 30, 2023
If $1 equivalent to N711 in Nigeria
An average civil servant will earn $42 for a whole month. This is ridiculous and inhuman, imagine running around for 30 days and get paid a peasant,
This government don't have mercy on the poor people, with situation now , How much should be the average minimum wage in Nigeria ?

If naira have value, that wouldn't have been a problem.
Increasing the minimum wage without growing the economy, increasing export, having right and foresighted leaders will all be useless.

Let our money have VALUE..

The people don't have mercy on their own selves. Imagine children of underpaid civil servants championing the cause of the overpaid paymasters because of politics.

Our Economy will collapse. The FG, States and LG won't even be able to pay salaries again. Inflation will shoot up

I don't think a national minimum wage is worth discussing. Let's talk about your state instead. The minimum wage should be whatever you guys need it to be. If the federal minimum is too low you're more than free to raise it. There's no point comparing Katsina to Lagos if we consider worker productivity or cost of living in either state.

Ps: The federal minimum wage is $7.25 per hour in America.
