The Chairman of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has confirmed that 27 buses conveying Nigerian evacuees from Sudan arrived in Port Sudan safely, where they would be airlifted to Nigeria.

She made this known on her Twitter page on Wednesday.

Sharing a video of the buses arriving, she wrote, "#Sudan: More cheering news as 27 buses arrived Port Sudan safely yesterday. Hopefully looking forward to the first set of arrivals to Nigeria from Egypt today.”
