In 2019, Atiku promised the igbos that he will be president for only four years hence in 2023 , he will support an igbo president.

The igbos voted massively for Atiku but he failed to win a single state in the core north hence lossing the election. The igbos suffered under APC for 4 years because of their love for Atiku.

In 2023, it was the turn of a Southern president hence the igbos expected Atiku to reciprocate their love for him. However Atiku took them for granted.

He told the igbos that he is the only person that can make them president, hence they have to vote for him again and wait for another 4 years if he manages to win.

To add salt to injury, Atiku made it clear that his Vice President candidate will now be from the SS instead of SE.

Hence Peter Obi proved to him that he is a man by contesting and giving a good account of himself. Even if Obi did not contest, Tinubu will still defeat Atiku.
