Well, because you asked nicely and talked reasonably, I’ll answer you.

The new debate started after Sunday Oliseh said in an interview earlier in the week that he’s not Igbo.

Now, many of his kinsmen (not Southeast Igbos, I’m talking of Delta Igbos) have called him out for the statement as they argued that they are Igbos.

That’s what resurrected the Southeast Igbos and Southsouth Igbos argument.
Cheers for the explanation, I am sure Oliseh said this about 2 years ago or maybe he repeated it again which would be a shame as this is not the time to heat up the polity.

Stuff like this is not surprising, for example in Ogun state, some Remọ people will tell you they are Ìjẹ̀bú's whole others claim Remọ are a distinct subgroup.

Having mingled ariund Lagos boys with Delta state Ibo ancestry, I have to say I have heard one or two attest to other Ibo's jokingly refer to them as not "core" ibo. Same with Lagosians with Edo ancestry

Why what Oliseh said is another topic for contention that has morphed into additional "Tinubu vs Obi" battle is another matter sha.

Well, you need to understand the times we are in. That’s why every occurrence will be viewed through political prisms.

Meanwhile, I think our fathers (Igbo Fathers) were guilty of segregating the Delta Igbos especially after the war. We the younger generation want to change this narrative and stop every segregation of the past by extending hand of brotherhood, love and light to our Igbo kindreds across the Niger and elsewhere.

Some postwar occurrences brought about the current ethnic crisis that some of them have. But the onus is on some of us with the right history to reconfigure the brains of some of these guys and make them learn the right history of their origin.

This matter have already been trashed time and time again on Anioma Facebook page,in that page you see Ika and ukwuani majority are anti Igbo and the aniocha/Oshimili and a little percent of ika who are pro Igbo

I think at the end of the day,the same non anioma/igbo commenters that are cheering up the anti igbo elements in anioma will be the same people that will sell them out
I remember when they tried to link Emefiele to IPOB,they(tinubu supporters) claim he sponsors UGMs during the naira scarcity era

Penguin2,

Interesting response and thanks for educating me, I genuinely thought it was natural for these Lagos boys to drift to their fellow Lagosians of Yoruba origin, rather than Ibo boys (across the Niger), because of a shared childhood experience, never realised there were undertones caused by the segregation you mentioned.

Hopefully all of that can be corrected in a way that they will naturally accept that they can be proud of their Ibo heritage.

As for Sunday Oliseh, dat wan stubborn die from what I've heard. You might just have to accept that he is a lost cause.

And I ask a woman like you,why do you bring up Ipob at the mention of Igbo🤣🤣😂😂🤣🤣
grin cheesy I am not a woman bcus I am a father😁
Overtime your ipob sect, which is the only sect that keeps dragging shame to the blessed Igboland, have created and brainwashed men like you to spread the narrative of tagging Igbo as a Tribe to the criminal activities of Ipob a group.

You give Tribalistic bigots from other tribes mouth to insult Igbo.

I am here to tackle their propaganda machines like you here😁😁😁
No peace for wiked criminals claiming freedom fighters bringing destruction into the Peacefu, blessed SE region😁😁😂😂.

In other words, you go to every Igbo related thread to talk about IPOB?

Why are you not going to every Fulani thread to talk about killer herdsmen, those ones are killing people in Eha-Amufu, Uzo Uwani and Awo Mma mma, all in Igbo land

Have you insulted the Fulanis for that?

There is insecurity in almost every part of Nigeria but you only remember insecurity if it has to do with Igbos, so that you can call out IPOB

Thats how to know bigotry

Lol!

Don’t pretend like it’s not you people’s wish and prayer that every Igbo after River Niger denies his Igbo heritage and claim an inexistent tribe if need be.

Unfortunately for you people, there seems to be a new renaissance among the Southsouth Igbos who are now openly embracing their Igbo identity despite conceited efforts by powers that be to make them say otherwise.

And hey, more is even coming.
Ndi Victim Mentality,

How exactly did all these you talked about related to Tinubu?

Even GEJ whos mother named him Azikwe is seen as an Igbo man...

Igbo bu Igbo

Nothing like inferior Igbos

We are not Yorubas that that have inferior Yorubas that would call their own sons outcast just because their mothers are non Yorubas....
How exactly did Yorubas enter this matter?

I've seen most of your comments and how you're always quick to drag Yoruba into your exclusive Igbo talk but honestly, they care less

If you've ever lived among Yoruba, you'd realise they categorizes most non-yoruba as Igbo cause to be honest, they care less about forced attachments to themselves

Have u ever seen any Yoruba open a thread to lament about Kwaras and Kogi northern representationshuh They don't, They really care less, so why should they bother about communities that far away from them

But you quoted him initially thinking he was Yoruba
Assumption is the worst form of knowledge and if you make most of your comments from assumptions, then it really would be hard to engage you cause you'd choose your opinion over facts, figures and stats

Good day

God can never permit the destructive and oppressive agenda of Ipob to prosper.

As long as you and goodnessme1 have made yourselves tools to give Igbo a bad print, by tagging a Tribe of millions of great people to your oppressive Taliban wannabe scam ipob, then it becomes a necessity for your agenda to be put to check.
Ipob is ipob,a sect,a registered group,a secessionist movement.
Igbo is the Tribe, the greatest black Tribe in the World, they can never be the same thing.
I hope you are also aware that ipob is not the only secessionist sect in SE,Massob does not stand with ipob.

Ofcus I expect you to call massob sabo for to you being Igbo should be measured by being pro ipob😁😶.

The killer heard men wahala is rocking everywhere but We have it in control down SE,btw drop your ipob is fighting against Fulani heardmen bullcrap its not going to work anymore.

Igbo knows better now.

it was just a question. Someone challenged me on Twitter from south east , said okowa is not from south east hence not igbo. During the campaigns Okowa’s ethnicity was not tagged igbo the same way Shettima was being mentioned. Whyhuh
