In 2015, APC a new political party won the 2015 Presidential Election there by defeating PDP that have won every Presidential Election from 1999 to 2011.

Labour Party contending with APC and PDP now, Labour Party now know as a third party and third force in Nigeria Politics to contend with.

It is very possible that a senator who was elected on the platform of APGA will be elected Senate President.
