When the other 14 clubs in the league signed a joint statement to come out publicly against you Madrid even stood out and said no. We even distanced ourselves. The statement we even put said the justice system should be allowed to investigate and what it was intended for. Real Madrid joined the prosecution as a complainant. Meaning that if Barca were to be found guilty, they would be in position to dictate punishments and seek compensations in whatever guise they wish. They can even ask for Barca to be expelled from the Primera division (La Liga).

Remember this decision by Real Madrid was well before Laporta went on air to call them ' the team of the regime'. No other club in Spain joined the prosecution apart from Real Madrid.

This is why Barca has broken all relationship with Real Madrid because they do not mean well for the Catalan club.

We are one step away from being a league champion for the first time in 4 yrs. We should be building towards becoming once more a big player in the Champions league. Messi no longer represent a big player in the champions league. His team has struggled also. I don't see how he will improve the squad in any way.

HIs return might be an emotional boost but this is a brutal sport. Any day you waste being emotional, your rivals outsteps you. We can't be playing catch up forever in the UCL. Clubs like City, Madrid, Bayern, Liverpool, even Arsenal are becoming juggernauts while we are looking for emotional reunion.
